Is flying over the Atlantic Ocean scary?
From DFW to LHR, your flight will be close to 9 hours in the air - But the portion of the flight overwater takes only 3:30 hours - Your route goes from DFW to Maine, then over Canada's Maritime Provinces - Gander, Newfoundland is generally the start of the oceanic flight - Then reaching the European continent over Ireland, the city of Shannon - The Atlantic flight is very quiet, will be during the night - So you arrive the early morning LHR the next day - Do not worry to sit next to a window, there is nothing to be seen anyway - Makes no difference flying over land or over water - .
Why is my local area connection so slow?
I have a 100Mbps local area connection. I occasionally go to task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) to see the networking utilization which is 0% - .013% that is low. I use DA (Download Accelorator) to get game, music etc. I'm downloading 7KBps but if i pause is and resume i get 132KBps then decresess to 25 than back to 7KBps. What in gods name has happend to my connection?. Please help.
Pros and Cons of having a power moonroof?
******Pros******** 1)Stargazing and sightseeing 2)'Fun stuff' like sticking things outside the roof. At your own risk 3)you may be able to get better cellular reception by opening it 4)You can open it for ventilation. Opening it tends to draw warm air out of the vehicle when moving, pulling cooler air in through the air vents. This without the wind chatter you get by opening the windows. Hot air naturally rises, so this is by far the most efficient means of keeping the vehicle cool. 5) You can check clearance when faced with a car park height barrier. The highest part of the roof is just about where the sun roof is. By driving slowly through the barrier, you can check if you can squeeze under it 6)When carrying things on the roof, you can look through the glass and check the load’s not shifting around. 7)It makes a good emergency escape hatch. Most sun roofs can be taken out completely. This works great for cooling in the summer, but also, should you find yourself in a body of water and the windows won’t open, the sun roof gives you an alternative exit route. ******Cons******* 1)A major issues is the cost of repairing/replacing the sunroof when it breaks. While this is uncommon in some models, in others this can be significant expense and a task which can only be performed at an auto repair center. 2)There's also the unpleasant fact that most sunroofs have to be purchased as OEM (dealer) parts and cannot purchased as aftermarket, meaning higher than average costs. And if the dealer installs it,expect the cost to go even higher. 3)Weight - Depending on the car, usually 30-40 pounds extra. 4)Mechanical excess: Another thing that may leak or break 5)Sometimes, the drains for your moonroof will clog, causing wet carpets. 6)If there isn't a solid panel you can pull over it on the inside, you'll hear more road noise.
