Is There Anybody In Utah Who Helps Families Who Have Lost Everything In Fire

Can wilderness therapy really help? Has anyone faced a therapy like this?

Yes Off Course!Wilderness therapy uses wilderness expeditions for the purpose of therapeutic intervention.Wilderness therapy has been continuously evolving over the past fifty years. This evolution became more clinically intensive in the early to mid-90’s when companies similar to Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness in the western US recognized the power of the therapeutic intervention that was occurring without the supervision of a licensed clinical professional. By shifting to pair exceptional clinical services and supervision with the power of the wilderness experience, a new model was born that is more appropriate for the vulnerable and clinically complex clients we serve. When we opened Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness, we added even more value to the wilderness experience by adding a career track for the field staff who reside with and care for our clients 24/7. It is the field staff who teach and model the skills and lessons of the woods, which in turn creates an avenue for clients to become more empowered.for more information visit: Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness

Can you get fired for missing a day at work because of a death in the family?

I once fired a worker for this reason. It was a beautiful summer's day. The guy called me to say that he wouldn't be able to work the next day as his grandmother had just died and her funeral was the next day. Funerals don't generally happen that fast but I gave him the benefit of doubt. Two days later he came into to work on crutches with his leg in plaster to tell me he'd broken his leg and couldn't work for a few weeks. "What happened?", I asked. "We were at the swimming pool and I slipped and fell"."The funeral was held at the pool?""Funeral? Oh yes. No, this was afterwards. My grandmother loved swimming so the whole family went to the pool after the funeral to celebrate her life"."You all went to the pool after the funeral? Your whole family?","Yes","Andy?","Yes?","There was no funeral, was there?", "No. Should I look for another job?","Yes". Andy's brother was a friend of mine and was very impressed with this incredible show of intelligence.

Juvenile Class B Misdemeanor: First Offense, Jail Time?

Not likely. You'll most likely get probation unless you're a repeat offender. The court almost always cuts some slack on initial offenses, especially misdemeanors. Better act pretty agreeable while in court.

Running over a fire hose-ticket?

Normally I wouldn't have any sympathy for you in this situation but if what you're saying is correct you may have a defense. As for your friend I don't think he does. All this is dependent on whether the hose was charged. If it was charged then neither of you have a defense. If it wasn't charged then you could have some defense. A hose that has water flowing through it is considered charged. If it was a supply line then it could have be 4 or more inches in diameter and kind of hard to miss. A driver would know if they had run over a charged hose and if this is what happened, pay the ticket and move on. An uncharged hose could be laying flat in the street and it might be possible not to see it. This would be especially true if the driver was being blinded by emergency lighting and general confusion around a scene. He could be moving very slowly trying to avoid pedestrians, fire engines, gawking police officers (more on that in a second) and never see a flat hose on the ground. The fact that you were behind the first car that ran over the hose is significant because if the first car was able to proceed across the hose your vision of the hose was blocked by the first car.
Police officers are dispatched to fire scenes to provide support to the fire department operations at a fire scene. This means crowd control and protecting hose lines, the fact there were enough officers to stop you and your friend once you had run over the hose but not protect the hose line in the first place tends to indicate that the officers on the scene were in the role of gawking bystanders instead of doing their job. While that is no defense it is a point worth noting.

I don't know WA law or if you can have a jury trial for a traffic violation but if so you could approach the DA and inform them you were going to request a jury trial and plead innocent to the charges. He might reduce the charges to something non moving, (improper equipment is a popular plea) or drop them all together.

Good luck and hope this helps.

If a natural disaster occurs (earthquake, etc.), will a Military base take in refugees?

Probably not...what makes you think any of those military bases are immune from Earth quake damage as well? There are families that live on or near them too.

For the most part, evacuees will probably be sent out of state. After hurricane Katrina they brought a lot of people to other states, including my state (Utah).

If an Earthquake hits, you'll pretty much be on your own. That's why it's important to have food and water stored. But if they were to evacuate people, they wouldn't evacuate you to the neighboring military installations, but rather to other states. Probably Nevada, Arizona, Utah.

Indian reservation in or near Las Vegas?

I have a paper due regarding a culture other than my own.
In April I am going to be visiting family in Vegas so I figure that is the best time to do my assignment.
I will be there during the week, I do not want to do a typical museum. I would prefer to visit a Native reservation. I know there is two near vegas. I am willing to drive a few hours if needed.
Does anyone know of any that has weekday activities(i.e pow wow; spiritual cleansing).
