A good freeware sign language font?
I'm on a 17 inch iMac running on Mac OS X, and I really need a sign language free font for the project I am working on. I found a good one called Galludant or Gallaudet or something or other; but every time that I try to install it; Font Book message pops up: http://i15.tinypic.com/4u1mywx.jpg Is there any way to fix this and install the font without problems/does anyone have a good freeware sign language font? I've found a few ASL websites, but all of those fonts open in .sit format, which my computer cannot read. Anyone that finds me a working font gets their ten points, thanks :)

American Sign Language is my first language. I wish I can help you but darn , I am Deaf.
Should i take latin or sign language?
latin is a dead language! the only good thing about it is that it might help you with your SATs. but sign language will def. come in handy if you meet a cool deaf guy! SO NEAT!!! plus, you can have fun speaking in a secret silent language with someone who knows it too :) p.s. the girl above me is totally nuts and she needs to stay in school! LMAO! LATIN language is not the same is say, spanish or portugese! girl, please! that's not the same!!! omg this ignorance really hurts me. lololol

is it more useful for me to learn american or british SIGN LANGUAGE??? also, how long do will it take me? i have been learning spanish for about three years and french for four years and i can communicate really well in them but will it take longer or shorter to make the same progress in sign language? thanks guys x it seems complicated, is it easy once you get started just like foriegn languages?
Is it easy to learn sign language?
There are multiple online resources for learning ASL, but keep in mind that someone with deaf autism is going to use that language in the same way that someone with hearing autism uses spoken language. Even if you managed to achieve perfect fluency in ASL, her usage will be affected by her disability. I recommend learning the few signs that are most important to her, from her or her family. That's what worked best for me when I worked as an aide for a deaf autistic child.
