Can I give my dog anything else to drink besides water?

milk is too rich for dogs to drink al the time water is best, there are additives you can buy at the pet shop which are specifically for dogs, that make the water taste faintly meaty. Your dog shoud have a good supply of clean, room temperature water, all the time though Hope this helps
Why does my dog have a tic (twitching) on the side of his nose?
My dog has a tic (twitching) on the side of his nose. He may be stressed from fireworks because he was homeless and kids may have thrown fireworks at him. Is there anything else that can cause this? Any disease? My vet says he may have had distemper when he was young and lived through it, thus, the tic. Is that right? Can I do anything to help him?
My dog won't eat her food, but she'll beg for ours. Why? She'll whine and go crazy for human food, but when it comes to dog food, she avoids eating it. It's as if she knows her food doesn't taste as good as ours.
If she doesn't eat her own food and she's not starving to death, I'll have to draw the conclusion that her strategy is working and that you are being manipulated into feeding her your food.......? ;-) Let me tell you a true story.I'd had a very shy dog here for two weeks to work with her. We'll try that."True story. :-) In my experience fussy eaters who turn their noses up at all types of dog food have become this way for two reasons:They are given plenty of other foods and treats instead.They are not given enough exercise to work up a proper appetite.So the solution is, as is usually the case :-), with the owner. You need to stop giving her lots of other unhealthy food and stick to your guns with tasty, good quality dog food as her only option, and you need to make sure that she gets plenty of exercise and activity so that she is hungry when she comes back and you present her with the food. I also recommend feeding her before you eat, so that she has the stomach full when you're eating.Good luck!

Dogs evolved subsisting with humans and the leftover foods they ate. This relationship is considered to be as old as 10,000 years.As such almost all foods that humans eat can be eaten by dogs and infact they do so. Not only the foods, even most of the medicines act the same way on both humans and animals.Fact to always keep in mind though is that, dogs are carnivorous by nature and hence are more tuned to digest meat as opposed to humans. Other foods that are harmful to dogs are Sugars and Oils, again the same applies to humans as well.Happy petting.
What commands does my dog need to know to be in obbediance?
sit, stay, stop, lay down, heel leave it. like you can put something on her nose and tell her to leave it. if the nose doesnt work you can put it on her paw
What's wrong with my dog? had a small seizure and is dry heaving!?
my dog acted like that (heaving, shaking, mine didnt have a seizure but some do) when i put seargents gold on him. he must have licked some off of his fur. have you put any flea medication on him? if so wash him with original dawn. also, i used to have a weenie dog who had a seizure (he didnt dry heave) we took him to the vet, it turned out he had lead poisoning from eating plastic beads. His digestive system no longer produced enzymes needed to get nutrition from his food, she put him on an enzyme (which was $100 dollars a bottle). i had to mix a little with his food everyday for the rest of his life, he never had a seizure after that. ALSO, if your guy was outside he might have heat exhaustion, there are many possibilities.
Help my dog swallowed a ball?
Don't worry this has happened to my lab too i don't know why he does it but when he swallows it it always comes out either end. If you notice that he looks ill or if he does not come out within a week contact your vet. Good luck don't let these people scare you. If you have to go to a vet go to government owned vets they are the cheapest ones. Last time my dog had a tumor and they removed it for 80 dollars and he is doing good now. Remember to never give him balls smaller than his head for now on.
