Is There Anything Wrong With My Computer

Something is wrong with my computer...?

Finally in your last and final line was the key piece of information to answer your question!

Spylocked is one of the latest variants of the Smitfraud spyware infection. Below is a link to complete removal instructions.

How to remove SpyLocked (Removal instructions using the free Smitfraud Fix removal tool):
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic85376.html

Most "general-purpose" anti-malware programs such as Norton, AVG, AdAware, etc. can not or will not remove this pest Smitfraud. And most who would tell you such, have no actual factual information. They are simply touting there favorite anti-virus or anti-spyware as as "cure for everything".

BTW, SpyLocked often gets installed when someone goes to view a video at a "not-so well-known" website. The website will say that a "special" codec is needed to view it, and asks to download it to you. If you allow the download, you will NOT be downloading a codec, you will actually download a trojan called Zlob. The moral is, never allow a website to download "stuff" unless it's a well known and respected site. And oh yeah, that video would have played just fine without that "special" codec! P2P downloads using programs such as Limewire have also been known to be infected with Spylocked.

Good luck!

BTW, Oddballs link will work too.

What is wrong with my computer?

Your question gave me the possible answers.
1) Shut down Norton ! Resource hog, use when connected to internet or needed.
2) You "cleaned the registry"....with what ?
3) Surf over to www.crucial.com and do a free scan...it will provide you with the info re current ram memory, and offer upgrade suggestions.
4) Be sure to update all drivers for your system. www.microsoft.com or manufacturers website support/downloads.
5) You could cut out Windows extra eye-candy by start/control panel/system/advanced/performance/settin... for best performance/apply

What's wrong with my computer?

On start up (before Windows loads) keep tapping either F5, F8 or F10 (be aware that some manufacturers use F8/F10 for system recovery) then use arrow keys to highlight 'Last known good configuration' hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit Return/Enter.

If that doesn't work, try again, but this time highlight 'Safe Mode' hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit Enter/Return.

A window will pop up asking if you want to carry on with safe mode or use system restore. Choose system restore, pick a date and time before the problem occurred and confirm.

**Be aware that restoring in Safe Mode cannot be undone!**

What's wrong with the D drive on my new computer?

I recently purchased a gaming PC, ( https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-master-desktop-amd-ryzen-5-series-8gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-580-2tb-hard-drive-240gb-solid-state-drive-black/6290721.p?skuId=6290721 ) not even 2 weeks ago. At first I was having issues with my D drive as I tried to transfer files from my C drive since it was getting pretty full. But the files I would transfer would take ages to load would lag and freeze, and sometimes wouldn't let me delete it so i decided to just use up my C drive until I could buy an external hard drive for storage. Now as I am playing games, which are not even located on my D drive, my computer crashes and shows a BSOD (Blue screen of death) with a stop code: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION, I downloaded CrystalDiskInfo to see if my hard drives were failing which i do not understand why it would since it's brand new, received on December 25th, but it showed my D drive as caution, i don't even have much on it, i used only about .1 TB of it but yet it's failing? Please help can someone explain this to me, I'm not that tech savvy but I'm pretty good with directions.
