Will Sims 3 run with MICROSOFT Windows XP service pack 3?
So, I really want to get the Sims 3. I have never played any of the other Sims games, but I did a lot of research and watched many videos and think it looks really fun. First, though, I want to make sure the game is compatible on my computer. I have a Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version 2002. (I don't know a lot about computers. Hope that is not too much/little info!) The service pack I have is Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3. I read that Sims 3 needs service pack 2. Will it work with service pack 3, or does it NEED specifically 2? Also, I was wondering where/how I can find out other stuff about my computer, such as the processor, video card, and how much hard drive space I have, so that I can know if Sims 3 will work based on that stuff too. Correct me if I am wrong but I think my computer meets all the requirements but the game keeps flickering on then off n then just freezes. I was maybe wondering if there was anyway to adjust the settings of the game to make it work. HELP.
How can i make my Sims 3 run faster on Windows xp?
Okay so i recently brought Sims 3, after trying to install it on my new laptop and causing it to blue screen, i installed it on my xp computer. However, even though it installed fine, the game runs so slow! Both systems match the minimum requirements system wise, so is there anything i can do to make it run faster? It takes forever to load, the graphics are already set to low to speed things up so the graphics are dreadful and it takes about 10 minutes for my sim to move. So can i have some suggestions please? From downloads to hardware changes, please can you let me know, including a rough cost if possible? oh, and it would also be nice to know why my laptop came up with the blue screen (of death) saying the system was shut down to prevent damage :] thanks! x
How can I make the Sims 3 run faster?
I went to system requirements lab and I pass pretty easily, but the game plays slow. I lower all of the graphics options all the way down and it's still pretty slow. There isn't a recommended tab for the Sims 3. So I was wondering what you recommend. I have: Windows XP Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz Performance Rated at: 3.2 GHz 1gb of RAM 256mb of Video RAM How can I make it run faster?

You have to buy a new one unfortunatly. What computer/model do you have so I can help you choose one. Edit #1 - I need more than a Gateway computer. If you go to start > run/search > type "msinfo32.exe" and go look under System Manufacturer + System Model it will tell you the information I need. Edit #2 - Look somewhere on your computer case for a model number. Edit #3 - The physical box. As in this - http://www.global-b2b-network.com/direct... There should be a model number or serial number tag on the case. Edit #4 - It depends on the case. Usually the sides, but look all around it for a gateway model number. Edit #5 - I guess we can try it. Just type the number and I'll check it on gateway. Edit #6 - Ok. Type that in too. I can try all of them. Edit #7 - Perfect. The first one worked. I will tell you what you need in a few minutes. Edit #8 - OK. Your computer only has PCI expansion slots which is very outdated. Can I run sims 3 with 1.40 GHz, 4Gb ram, ATI Radeon HD 4330 512mb?
My Processor is Intel Core 2 Solo processor. and my ram IS a 4Gb DDR3. I just wanna know now if I can upgrade my graphics card? Is that possible? Because I heard laptops can't be upgraded. But on my laptop, it says; "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 Up to 1742mb. Does that mean I can upgrade it?
