Is There Clock That Doesn

Is it true that time doesn't exist but only clocks exist?

Think of time as the predictability of motion. The Earth rotates on its axis - a day. The Moon revolves about the Earth - a month. The Earth revolves about the Sun - a year. We create models of these and break them down further into hours and minutes - clocks.Virtually everything in the universe is in motion. If you could take a three-dimensional photograph of the universe, everything in that photo would be at one exact position. That photo, with everything at that position, is a single point in time - Spacetime. For the most part, motion is predictable. Matter in the vacuum of space will continue its motion indefinitely. But, there are forces that interfere with motion, like gravity. So, motion is not perfectly predictable, and so time can appear altered when things don’t move as expected. But it isn’t time that changes, it’s the motion. Time is only the expectation, it is not a real thing itself.

Why doesn’t the alarm clock wake me up anymore?

There are a few reasons why this could be happening. I know because I did some research when the same thing kept happening to me but the most common one is the alarm sound. If you are using the same sound for over a month or two then your brain might be getting used to it and starting to ignore it. Also if your alarm sound is a song or some common sound that you hear during the day it is time to change it.Pick sounds that irritate you. Repetitive hard sounds are best. Even putting a simple construction site sound for your alarm tone will give you positive effects. The best way to do this is to pick something that irritates you during the day. It could be a car horn or a cooking pot falling down the stairs. Pick your worst one and you won’t have this problem for a long time.

What does "Time Doesn't Exist Clocks Exist" mean.?

"Time doesn't exist" means that time is not a solid object, it cannot be seen, touched, smelled, or picked up and put in a bag.
Time is something that many people say has been invented by humans. Time does not exist in the natural world. Yes, the seasons change, the day changes from sunrise to sunset, and wild creatures arrange their lives according to those changes, but they do not represent the concept of time.
"Clocks exist" means that clocks are solid objects, and they represent the passing of time, therefore the only way that we have of knowing how much time has passed is to look at a clock.
What a clock shows us does not, really, exist, but a clock is there, on the wall, or wherever, telling us about something that we cannot see.

What does "Even a clock that does not work is right twice a day"mean?

literally: if the clockhands are both stuck pointing straight up, then despite being broken, they're still technically correct at midnight and noon

figuratively: even that which is imperfect or defective in its expected purpose has something positive to contribute if the onlooker is willing to appreciate it...

What does the phrase, "even a broken clock is right twice a day" mean?

The phrase literally means that a broken analog clock will be right twice per day. If the clock has stopped at 3:00pm, it will display the correct time again every 12 hours, at 3:00am and 3:00pm.Figuratively, this phrase is applied to people who usually don't do things right, and surprisingly have had a good idea or done something well. It is a sarcastic statement drawing a parallel between an incompetant person, and a broken clock which is wrong for 1,438 minutes of the day, but is right for 2 of them.

Why don't they just stop the clock in soccer?

Dante

Tradition and to keep the game moving. I would imagine that in 1862, having a watch that could keep accurate stop and start time was really hard to come by.... and very inaccurate. By having a set playing time. Everyone new when to start, and when to stop. It was the ultimate in fair play in regards to time. By adding time to the end, it takes into account taking away and advantage lost for wasted time, or for excess time loss in other ways.

If you stopped time for every issue, it would become similar to american football, where the plays are stopped and started. In the simplest of terms it takes a 1 hour grid iron game almost 3 hours to play. In football, a 90 minute game is completed in well less than two hours. Soccer is based upon the continuation of play, to apply constant pressure to the opposition. Stopping play defeats that very important principle. That is why play continues to play, allowing the injured player time to collect themselves, stand up, and walk it off. Play is stopped very rarely compared to the number of players who actually go down and are injured.
