Would Russia nuke America?
With all the tensions going on, if Russia and America were to go to war, would Russia really try to nuke America first, even though chances are it would mean the destruction of Russia? (Mutually Assured Destruction.) Or do you think they would keep nukes out of the picture in a US-Russian war?
So since the US bombed Syria, is Russia going to attack America?
Russia said they’re evaluating what to do but China is siding with them. America cannot take on China and Russia. This is scary. We’re literally headed for World War 3
Will America go to war with Russia?
Of course not. I can see some answers here were by those who didn’t grow up during the Cold War, when all Americans understood that a nuclear power with second strike capacity can never, ever attack another country with the same capacity.The conventional weapons comparisons mentioned on this page are irrelevant. Such a war would be nuclear, this is why during the Cold War, when relations with Russia were hundreds of times worse, there was never going to be a war. Mutually Assured destruction prevents this.In the extremely unlikely case of such a war, both Russia and the US would cease to exist as nations within a few days or less (as in the film, Dr. Strangelove) and the rest of the world can look forward to when the radioactive fallout reaches their nation (as in the Aussie film, On The Beach).No winners, no civilization, and our military technology will then be sticks, sharpened rocks, arrows and pit traps.When I grew up in the 50s and 60s, most of us understood all of this by the time we were 12. Will the USA go to war with Russia?
I watched a video on those predictions made thousands of years ago such as how 9/11 was predicted and there was annother prediction which has apparently been linked/translated in to being: Before the end of Obamas final term a EMP bomb will be dropped on the USA by Russia which will wipe out electronics etc across the US. By doing this the USA wont be able to use the internet, call people, have lights etc. The prediction then goes on to saying there will be riots and the USA will be engulfed in flames before being invaded. So this is all supposedly going to happen before January 2017. Its like in 2012 when we all waited for the world to end but it didnt, though the 9/11 prediction did happen so i guess we just wait to see if anything happens. I personally dont think anything like this will happen
Who would win in a non nuclear war between USA and Russia?
it would be a stalemate, both nations have great armies, and both have pretty strong tactics. If the US tried to attack Russia through the bering straits, they would encounter problems getting from the straits to moscow, due to the nasty winter in siberia(coldest area on earth in terms of how cold it is on the northern hemisphere, not comparing it to the artic zones, or antartica, the artic is over an ocean.), and the supply line they’d have to maintain along the way, if they go through the Ukraine, they’ll face stiff opposition, that will give them pause, remember Stalingrad, that was the limit of the German advance on the russians, and failed, napoleon tried to conquer russia, went as far as moscow, but faced a cruel winter that caused them massive casualities to his grand army and let to his downfall, If the US invades russia, they will face their own Stalingrad, the people will not allow themselves to be conquered by anyone, they’d rather overthrow their own leader on their own, over accepting any foreign help.Now if Russia tried to invade the U.S. they could move through Alaska quickly, U.S. doesn’t have a large number of military bases, but the U.S. will rapidly deploy their units from Washington puget sound that has a naval base, and Fort lewis, Washington will dispatch trooper to juneau to mobilize and try to stop the russian advance, next you can expect a wave of air force from some small bases in the northwestern USA to try to pound the invaders, but once the russians dig in, there will be a stalemate among the forces. you have russians who are well trained in winter warfare, while the U.S. only have few units well trained such as the soldiers from Fort Drum, new york(I heard it from the drill sgts about how cold it is at Fort Drum vs. any soldiers bases in alaska, ‘Alaskan based soldiers come to fort drum for winter training.’) Attacking from the atlantic would be impossible to do so without NATO joining in, and the attack in Alaska could get Canada involve under NATO’s Attack on one is an attack on all policy, to answer this. I believe this war is a stalemate, no other country was able to conquer russia in the past, and won’t be able to do so in the future, it’ll be conquered from within.
