Is There Really A Big Difference Between Using The Beats Studio Headset Compared To Using Earbuds

What's the difference between a gaming headphone and a music headphone?

The simple answer is, a gaming headphone has a mic attached to it. That’s the primary difference. You can always buy aftermarket mics for regular headphones too or use an external mic.Everything else in a gaming headphone are basically features which depending on you are worth it or not. Example Surround sound, I dislike it, it is gimmicky. Some pro competitive players prefer a wider soundstage and lesser bass in headphones to hear footsteps easily to turn and shoot the opponent quickly like in CS:GO, etc. But clearly these are specific needs. If you are looking for a good gaming headset which isnt expensive and is good for music listening too, Kingston’s Hyperx Cloud Core is really good. I wouldn’t recommend the rest of their lineup such as Cloud Drone.

Beats by Dre Studio's Fake vs Real.?

Please do NOT waste ANY of your money on Beats, FAKE OR NOT!

If REAL quality is an issue, you should stick to REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica (NOT to be mixed with Technic which is utter rubbish as well!), Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like V-Moda, Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed. Please do NOT fall a victim to FASHION ACCESSORIES by buying Boombox, Ministry of Sound, Sol/Republic/Revolution, Noontec Zoro's, Benetton, a-jays, iFrogz, Marley, Fanny Wang, Razer, Karl Kani, WESC, Turtle, JH, Dr.Dre/Beats/Solo, Ludacris/Soul, Koss, Skullcandy, Lady GaGa, Skullcrushers, Monsters nor Bose, because they are ALL seriously overhyped and overpriced "fashion blingbling gimmicks" with a very poor durability and sound quality, NOTHING else (and those who try to claim they are good do NOT know ANYTHING about QUALITY anyway!), BE THEM FAKE OR NOT!

Also, please do NOT focus on the thumping bass that just distorts everything else, instead go for GOOD audio quality IN GENERAL.

What is the difference between studio and regular headphones?

Ideally, studio headphones are: Designed with more or less flat frequency response with no bass boost or any undue prominence in other frequency regions. This is to make sure that any unpleasantness heard is due to mistakes in the miking/mixes and not in interaction with the headphones. Have decent passive sound isolation. Studios are noisy places. You can't effectively monitor a recording in headphones that do not provide adequate isolation.Comfortable, so that one could wear them for hours on end.Sturdily built. Professional equipment is not cherished like home hi-fi. It's used and abused and thrown about and stepped and sat on.Inexpensive, so that there is no drama when the headphones finally give in to abuse and have to be replaced.Ugly, so that no musician would be tempted to "accidentally" mislay a pair into his/her gear bag.In reality, the first requirement is honoured more in breach than in observance. Still, sonic quirks of most decent studio headphones are harmless and easy to "imagine away". If anything, they err on presenting too much rather than too little. For casual listening, the bulk, ugliness and isolation of studio headphones might be excessive. Also, the detailed presentation they give is not to everyone's liking, and can highlight otherwise insignificant problems in your playback hardware. However, if you have kids or particularly ham-fisted members of household, studio headphones could be just the thing.

Is there a big difference between cheap headphones and expensive headphones?

Not all cheap headphones/earbuds *sound* cheap, and I have some inexpensive ones I like better than more expensive ones, but generally what you get when you pay more is detail, drama, meatiness and a feeling that a veil has been lifted and you’re right there within the sound, not listening to it at arm’s length. Some cheap headphones just sound terrible and the difference is chalk and cheese, immediate and obvious. But once you’re listening to something that isn’t truly crap, you might have to train your ears over time to be able to pick out the differences. There’s sound quality, which to some extent can be measured in a lab and reflected in specifications, and then there’s sound quality perception which happens in the brain. If you listen to a $50 pair and a $350 pair and can’t hear that much difference, or can’t say you clearly prefer the expensive ones, don’t waste your money (not that $350 is truly expensive in headphone terms). There is a chance you’ll never appreciate the difference, or it might be a couple of years until you start to notice the deficiencies of the cheaper pair. It’s natural to have a preference for certain types of sound; you might love listening to music on a really bass-heavy pair that an audiophile or studio engineer would turn up his nose at, but if it makes you happy, go with it till you feel otherwise.

Are beats studio headphones good?

They are WAY over priced !
No, they are not worth the money.

Look into headphones by Sennheiser, AudioTechnika and AKG (Sennheiser gives you the best quality for money in my opinion). Beats cost $200 to $350 depends on the model (HEADphones, not buds).

You can get just as good product for less money, for example :
Sennheiser PXC 250 II $166
Sennheiser PXC 250 (the older model) $70
Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B Active Noise-Cancelling $136
Audio Technica ATH-ANC27 Noise-Canceling $60
Audio Technica ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint $100

Beats by Dre Studio vs Solo?

NEITHER!

Beats Studio Vs. Beats Pro?

I am thinking of buying either pair of these headphones but I am not sure which one to pick. Can you help me out?

I like the Beats Studio because of the noise cancellation and the contoured ear cup design which appears to be far more comfortable. I also like how it has a hard case rather than a plastic one like the Beats Pro.

On the other hand, I like the quality of the build in the Beats Pro. They seem to be extremely durable, but they are almost $100 more.

Based on your opinion or personal experience, which would you recommend to me? I will generally be using these for traveling in cars, on airplanes, etc. Price is not a huge issue, but it can be taken into consideration. Also, which do you believe has a better quality of sound. I have not tried either of these headphones in a store yet but I plan on it. I just want to get some opinions before I go there.

Thanks!
