Does Legend of the Seeker have an ending?

i think that's the last legend of the seeker episode we're going to see......so i'd suffice it to say that richard and kahlan go on to live happily ever after.

in the books, richard and kahlan marry, richard never loses his magic, and he unites d'hara with the midlands to form the d'haran empire. richard and kahlan then have to help stop a massive invasion by a far superior force led by emperor jegang from the old world which is the primary villain from books 3-11. but obviously we aren't going to see that since the tv show ended. and who's to say they would even go that route. the show was so much different, most of it was just made up anyway. who knows.

What time period does Legend of the Seeker take place?

the legend of the seeker is based on an epic fantasy series of 11 novels written by terry goodkind called the sword of truth series. the story is set in a fictional middle age period world not that much unlike our own which consists of the new world (which consists of the westland, the midlands, and d'hara) and the old world (which is not as thoroughly described except that it is vastly larger than the new world, and is under the control of a sect known as the empirial order). it is never stated in the show, or the books of exactly what time period they are in.

in fact, the only reference to time mentioned in the books are references to major past events. for example richard rahl (aka richard cypher) is the said to be the first war wizzard born in 3 thousand years during which time a great war between the old world and new world had come to an end. they also mention nearly 20 years have passed since a war between d'hara and the rest of the new world which ultimately lead to the creation of the magical barriers to separate all three parts of the new world.

the series and the tv show are not based on any legends, only the story written by terry goodkind. the tv show differs in many ways from the books so the name of the tv show was changed slightly to reflect the differences between the two.

in the sword of truth universe there are various creatures of magic like witchwomen, confessors, wizzards, dreamwalkers, and others that are encountered throughout the books.

Here's one. There are giant snakes that live under the streets and roads. They only come out when no one is looking. They feast on abandonded cars and shed their skins, which looks and feels like old tire tread. This is why if a car is abandoned on the side of the road for two long, it is eventually gone or stripped down. The giant road snakes usually go to the highways to shed their skins, which is why you can always find some tire tread there. However, the story goes that if you can catch a giant snake coming out to eat a car, he has to give you a choice between wishes. They are:
A brand new car,
A gallon gas can that never runs out of gas, no matter how much you pour from it,
A car compass that will point the direction of whereever you are trying to go, instead of only north.
