I am building my first gaming PC. Are these components good?

Your choices unfortunately don't really give you or me an idea of their qaulity. A little know secret is that many of the name brand items (like video cards and SSD drives) are not built by the names on the brand. They license other to build and distribute their products. This means that the same video card could be built by a dozen or more companies. Of course some of those companies are good solid manufacturers with good quality control and others like Foxconn, build everything in house so they can keep the qaulity and price as low as possible. So a nvidia 970M from lets say PNY will be a good card but the same 970M from Foxconn wont deliver the same benchmarks nor will it last as long. same go for your motherboards. just because they same they do the same thing doesn’t mean they do it as well. it all comes down to who was the ODM on that parts. Find a place that assures you and stand behind the buying on their part of only Tier 1 parts. This doesn't mean they will never fail but it does mean your getting that part from a licensed dealer who values qaulity more than their cost.if you see two parts and one is much less than the same part somewhere else, it is likely because they went with a Chinese low QC company like Foxconn.Laptop Quality and the quality laptopwww.m-techlaptops.com

Phenom II 1055T on Asus M4NG8T-M V2 Throttle down to 7.5x?

Phenom II 1055T on Asus M4NG8T-M V2 Throttle down to 7.5x

I recently intalled a new heatsink particularly thermaltake spin Q on my processor to put the temperatures down. hopefully i did bring it down from 56 deg Celsuis in gaming to just 51 comparing to stock heatsink.

However i am experiencing a throttle to half of my multiplier when the temperature hits 52 deg at prime 95. considering my stock heatsink reaches 56 without throttling down.

Are the Asus Motherboards responsible for this problems?

You can find the manual @ acer or @ emachine, same computer!
