Is This A Dragon Fruit Flower Bud

How long does it take for an amla plant to bear fruit?

A grafted variety of amla plant may take 4 to 6 years to bear fruit.Wild varieties (grown from seed of unknown variety and origin) may be unpredictable. They may take up to 10 years to get reproductively mature.

What is the procedure for cultivating dragon fruit?

Dragon fruit prefer a wooden post, do not use treated timber, use hardwood posts. the fruit will grow on the downward hanging branches making harvesting easy

What flowers can you eat?

I know this sounds crazy. But I'am making a cake for mothers day, and I want to put some flowers on top (i.e. daisy or tulips). We aren't going to eat them, but I don't want to poison anyone. I know you can eat roses, but I was thinking more like a spring flower. Thanks for any help.

We planted a snow crab apple tree about 3 weeks ago and it dried up and died. Now our replacement is dying.?

It is mid summer and you are planting trees.Your timing could not be any worse. Stop worrying about an instant landscape and decide if you want a good tree in good health in the right place or if you want to be the garden centers cash cow. The "seedless" pears you speak of sound like a Bradford pear, or one of it's ilk. The hidden danger in these trees is that demand has outstripped supply for them and some crooked folks have used regular Callery type pears as bud wood to fill their nursery rows and fool their customers. These trees are considered obnoxious weeds in Indiana now, they DID produce fruits and birds are filling the woods with seeds which grow into weed trees and push out natives. The tree is extremely over planted, and I think the Crabapple would be a better choice...this fall...when it will grow roots overwinter and be ready for a much less stressful growing season.
Besides, the sprinklers are likely not getting enough water where it needs to be, at the roots of the tree. Since you are growing sod this summer( Your "lawn pros" really saw you coming!) you will have a great deal of trouble moving a hose or even walking on the sod at all. So now, commit to the sod crop, replace the tree this fall, and don't let some huckster with a "special deal" stick a crappy tree in your yard. You might try a bit smaller tree when you plant too, they take a little longer to reach size, but they spend that time making themselves at home.

Where does the matter inside of fruit come from, like the fat inside an avocado? Surely that doesn't come from CO2. I look inside a dragon fruit, tomato, kiwi, or orange, and it seems very bizarre that dirt can be turned into this.

Its not all dirt that gets changed into those amazing structures called fruits. Then, plants should be having mouths to eat dirt. Why do they have roots and leaves instead!! :D (Sorry for that, pun intended! ) Plants have roots and leaves and they are the sources that provide food,  water and nutrients to the plants. The roots absorb water and minerals that are essential for the growth and well-being of the plant. The leaves perform photosynthesis and produce sugars that are necessary for the plant's energy. Fruits are amazing things that the plants have evolved to produce. Each fruit are a characteristic of a different plant and it is all written in their genes (The secret formula for producing a plant's own fruit! ;) ). They just take what they need from their environment and store the energy and sugar they produce inside the fruits they produce. Fruits are a wondeful result of the evolution of a plant's ways to reproduce. Each plant attracts its dispersing agent with a different kind of fruit. It will go lengthy and boring of I go into the evolutionary process so I leave it here. Moreover, fruits don't pop out of the trees in a single day. There are several steps in the formation of a fruit. You'll understand if you see the below picture as how a ripe fruit is produced from a flowerThe flower has the ovary and it gets fertilized and then the fruit begins to grow. The plant slowly adds nutrients to the fruit and it slowly increases in size and finally reaches its full capacity and begins to ripen which is induced by hormones... Thank you for the question :)Edit:Answer to Update: Okay, but how about the fat inside of an avocado? Surely that doesn't come from CO2. ###The fats in avocados also come from the carbon they intake and involves some complex reactions with other nutrients and enzymes in the plant. I'm explaining this without getting into a detailed mechanism. Plants have biochemical pathways which allow them to take basic molecules, such as Acetyl-CoA and Malonyl-CoA, and attach them to form long hydrocarbon chains. A hydrocarbon chain with no double bonds between the carbons in it's chain is called a saturated fatty acid. Plants make may types of saturated, mono-unsaturated, and poly-unsaturated fats. These fatty acids combine to form fats and get stored in the fruits of avocados. The avocados produce monounsaturated fat and it is good for our health and useful to put on weight for the skinny people :) Hope this was helpful..

Can a bearded dragon drink soda?

The short answer is: No

The long answer is: Sure they can drink soda, but soda should never be provided to a reptile. Carbonated beverages contain high levels of phosphorous and little to no calcium which is a combination to be avoided in all reptile diets. I am not sure as to what effects the carbonation would have on a bearded dragon, I am not going to attempt to find out if this would be harmful in and of itself. The high sugar content of most non-diet sodas is another aspect that is to be avoided in a reptiles diet, and sugar substitutes are of no value and could also be harmful. If your pet needs treatment, a veterinarian that specializes in reptiles is the only reasonable option you have.

If you are looking to hydrate your pet, a good soak in 80degF 1" deep water for 15 to 30 minutes twice a week is acceptable along with lightly misting its daily ration of dark green leafy vegetables.

When a fruit gets ripe, it gets soft and sweet and changes its colour. What features can we expect in a person who gets mature, in whatever way maturity is defined?

It's a beautiful analogy in my opinion.Taking into account those fruits which grow up on trees, when a fruit appears for the first time, it is small and not sweet. It can be compared to a baby being brought in this world. It is small and is quite sweet(in terms of attractiveness strictly), and is not ready for helping the people around them.Below is the image of the fruit being prepared from bud of the dying flower. When a fruit becomes mature, it becomes ripe and thus acquire sweetness which is relished and provides various nutrients to organisms who eat it.Below is the now fully mature and developed dragon fruit.Similarly, when a person gets older, he becomes stronger, becomes attractive due to puberty and similarly becomes more aware about his surroundings and is in control of their mind.Hence, people who become mature are capable of helping out the weak sections of the society. Also, they increase the intellectual level of people around them and help the community in becoming adept to changes and makes our world a better place to live, which helps the people who requires our support.
