How do I rap in a British accent?
Please don't reply saying that the British accent isn't good for rapping. So I write good raps, but don't have any ideas on how to vocalise them. I come from the UK, in Norfolk, but I don't have have any obvious accent from that county. I emulate styles of Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, and Scroobius Pip, as well as a couple of other rappers, I know that I shouldn't, but if I don't rap, then only I am the audience it seems. Any advice?

haha i totally can.........not. last night i went home with my cousin, and we sat on her kitchen floor (th best spot for late night talking) and talked. and ate goldfish crackers. then i read her an "inspirational story" in my best british accent. well actualy, i read the side of the goldfish package and the accent sucked :) but wahtever
Is it rude if I speak with a British accent even though I'm not British?
I love it when non-native speakers have a British accent!Firstly, non-native speakers have a choice whether to speak with British RP or with a standard American accent: I am proud and flattered if they prefer the British.Beyond that, if they go on to acquire a regionalised accent (not always a choice - if you learn English from someone with a strong accent you can only copy that accent in learning the pronouncitation) I recognise a greater affinity with them. My extended family has a Birmingham accent, and a recent immigrant with a recognisable Birmingham sing-song intonation immediately becomes “one of us”.The worst it could be is funny, never rude! My French friend, who is so correct in French she vouvoyers her own parents, speaks English with a strong East End of London accent she has picked up from the children she teaches. She doesn’t quite say “innit’, but she drops her ‘t’ and uses very inappropriate slang. Its wonderful, hilarious, and a thing of joy. How could it be rude? She has acquired the language naturally from those around her and, as a learner, would not be in a position to make linguistic choices about either her accent or her vocabulary.
To all the Brits- which American actor has the best British accent? Which Brit has the best American accent?
Brit person here, I can't recall a single American actor doing a convincing English Accent...ever..Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins still makes me shudder All brits can do a great american accent though, we can do regional ones from Texas "You got a purtee mouth" through to New York "Can I give me dawg, cwoffffeeeee"..we don't need to be actors to be able to do this.
