How can I help my friend start a gaming company?
Why did you buy a raspberry pi to teach yourself how to code?Besides that, how can you help? By having a plan and making games.Between you and your friends, what are the skills you guys have? Can either (or both) do Art? Design? Programming? Marketing? Project Management?As an indie of sorts, you have to play it smart. Why are you learning C++? Do you plan on writing your own engine? If so, don’t. Take one of the existing engines and work with it. UE4 and Unity are very accessible, as are myriad others, and will give you an edge when building your game.Next, how is you art? Do you have an artist on board? If not, you will have to pay one. If you two are serious about this company, you must be serious about quality. If you can’t pay one, look for a genre where art won’t matter (text adventures etc) or learn the minimum about color theory and find an art style that works for you. And polish it.Then, what kind of games are you going to design? How are you designing the games? You can use gamemaker or other drag and drop editors to get the basic gameplay going, and then move to a better engine for better implementation. Or even use pen and paper to work things out and balance your game.Other than that, why are you, the 14 year old, funding this? Does the 18 year old not have a job? Starting a gaming company is the same as starting any company: you need capital to get things going. If you don’t have capital, you won’t go anywhere. Your friend should be more concerned with getting a job to get funds to fund this venture.Unless you plan on dumping shitty clones on the app stores of the world. Then please, don’t.

Hi. I am looking for a new game to play that would be (in my opinion) perfect. Now, I understand that there will ALWAYS be a time where I'll say "Hey, they should have made it so you could do this..." but doesn't everyone? Now that that's out of the way... REQUIREMENTS: Third- person view (showing the whole character rather than viewing from what the character would see) Option to play as a girl character Character Options Good Graphics Available on PC Chat (If online game) Good amount of players that play (If online) Friends List (If online) A good variety of things to do Other things I like (not required): having pets, having rides, having a house, more detailed character customization, changing outfits, adventure gaming category, etc. PS: I already know what Wizard101 and Roblox is assuming someone will suggest those.
If my friend is a gamer and if I think that gaming is a waste of time, should I influence him to quit gaming or be supportive and encourage it?
I have been a non gamer. And I have been a Gamer. So I think I'm perfectly qualified to answer this question.When I was a Non-Gamer, My brother was a Gamer. He used to do so much gaming all day. Strategy games, Roll playing games, Arcades, Board games. Everything. And he always used to finish every single game. Until he cleared all the stages with a good performance he used to hook to that game. There were time when he used to wake up at 3AM and join a battle for his guild. Crazy, right?That's when I used to think that gaming is a waste of time. Except that it wasn't. It turned out that when I started gaming I was addicted to it. Obviously it's a whole different world but it gives you more than that.Fast forward, it turned out that I developed so many skills unknowingly just by playing games. I developed reasoning by playing Strategy games. I developed empathy by playing Role playing games. I developed my Brain power by playing Brain teasers. I developed Vocabulary by playing Word games. And I developed to have patience every time I lost. I developed how to take criticism positively. All I did because of Gaming.Non gamers will always see gaming as a waste of time because they are not seeing the visible benefits. That's what happens. But gaming offers a whole new world to develop your brain and skills.P.S: Still a gamer, always will be.
How do I make mature gamer friends?
I assume that what you mean by mature is over 13. I think a safe way to get people would trust would be to take some visits to neighbors, or people in your county that you know, maybe try any other friends, search around school (I assume you are still in school because you ask for mature gamer friends, so please don't take offence), if you don't find any which you probably will have by now, try family members! Maybe your parents (beware that parents are not good at learning complex control schemes so you should start with something with motion control like the Wii, Xbox 360 or later, or Playstation Move) I personally find that brothers and sisters are the best people to play games with because you know them the most out of any other people and if you move you still have them to play with you, and also, try siblings that have left home, cousins, grandparents (they love to have fun with their grandchildren) or uncles and aunts. I think I lost my internet best friend and I can't stop crying please help?
No rude answers please, she's really important to me. So I've been talking to an internet friend named Ashley for a year now. We have talked almost every single day and she helps me through everything. I really consider her my best friend because all of my real friends and family don't care about me. Shes always there to brighten up my day no matter how bad it was and I always look forward to talking to her. The problem is that we are friends on a game. The game we are friends on is known to terminate people for not really any reason. I have gotten terminated before but I was lucky enough to find her. Yesterday she promised to be on and wasn't. Today I got on to see if shes been on all day ( because we are like addicted to this game :D) and she never got on today either. I know she might have been busy yesterday because on sundays she has church and is busy. We watch a show together and its on and she is absolutely always on for it for now shes not. No one can understand how important she is to me. I can't stop crying right now just thinking about losing her because she is honestly the only thing that I care about. We are friends on another game but she hasn't came on that game either and now I'm worried that she del that game or something. No one can ever understand how much it would hurt me to lose her. No one else even cares about me.. The game is closing in a month and that's why we met on the other game. . I'm always paranoid because it has happened to me before and then I found her again. I can't even focus in school because what always gave me hope throughout the day was knowing I can come home and talk to her. Should I stop worrying so much? D&d adventures for beginners? plz help!?
The main problem is that you need it tomorrow, which means you will need to go pick it up, and cannot order it. 1) Dungeons and Dragons Basic Game That is great if you do not stuff already. You can pick this up at most borders book stores I think. 2) It has been way too long since I got to play, but I love the classic modules. If you can get your hands on them, they are easy enough to play with in the current rule set. Most are geared towards beginning levels and players. See the link I posted below. 3) Can you find a gaming store near you? We have one that has all manor of board games, D&D, and card stuff. See if you can find one locally, go in and see what they have. Good luck!
