Is This A Good Laptop

Is HP a good laptop brand?

Well, if it were between Dell and HP, I would buy HP, hands down, no question.

Dell's are actually the worst brand when purchased Mass Produced, if you drove down to Walmart, and bought a Dell computer in a box, it wouldn't last over a year without one problem. When they make the same thing over and over again without one change, quality drops, hence why you can find a $700 computer alone for $600 with a Monitor, Keyboard, and mouse included, as long as it is in the box...

As for HP, I haven't heard one bad thing about them. Of course, if you buy them in the box too then you're destined to have a problem, it doesn't matter how much you baby it, it will malfunction internally.

I have people in my family who own HP, and haven't had one problem with it yet, and it did come out of the box... I own a Sony Vaio at the moment, so I can't give upfront experience with HP, but I am in the market for a second Laptop, and one that can handle a few games, HP is my primary choice. Dell is my secondary, HP gives you a better deal, tons of free Hard Drive, RAM, etc. Upgrades when you buy them off of the site and have them shipped.

So, I shared my knowledge, don't let it make-or-break your decision overall, but just note, that someone warned you, if you go with Dell for some odd reason, then it will probably fail you, I promise you HP will last you longer, looking over the parts in an HP, they are better built and use better parts than a Dell. If you looked at the 17R by Dell (Base Model), and the G7T by HP (Base Model), you can see you get more with an HP.

I Hope I Helped! Make a wise decision

Is MSI a good laptop brand?

A proud owner of the MSI GE62VR 7RFYep. That one. ( image from google )Heating is adeptly handled by the system using 6 pipes instead of 3 in the older versionsBattery really depends on the work you are doing. For gaming, it comes upto an hour and a half or so. General use - 3 to 4 hours easily.Performance is BEASTLY!Okay, maybe more of a general look rather than a review :Msi laptops are really worth the buck. They also sent me free diaries and gaming mice worth around 7k INR. Which is something. They dont disappoint when it comes to gaming or any other highly demanding work. Graphics will not let you down.Audio is okay-okay. Not the best but not the worst eitherIf you have a SSD, gaming will be as fast as you can blink. Literally.Msi? Go for it.Asus is a very good alternative. Please don’t go for hp. Just a personal opinion.“ I game. Therefore I Am ”Happy gaming! :D

Is this a good laptop??

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omen-15-6...

Best Buy has it on clearance at $1000. The original price is $1600. So it seems like it would naturally be too good to be true. Is there a reason it's such a big discount?

Is HP a good brand for laptops?

I am eligible to answer this question since I used this laptop for one and half year.I brought the HP model hp pavilion 15-au114tx 15.6 inch , i5 , 8 gigs ram and 4 gigs graphic card priced at around ₹65,000(910$). For the same price I could opt for some cheaper models like Acer or Asus something like that. It was fine for the first six months but then the hinges began to crack due to poor manufacturing and the battery for this price was builtin which again is a cons if you face any battery problem. I study in a college where most people use laptops. Few of my friends who brought the same edition suffered from the same hinge problem as mine. Though it is just slightly compact as compared to dell I feel dell is quite strong in its body and atleast better when compared to this. The screen of this bloody laptop vibrates when I switch on the fan. Just coz this is a flop model hp even stopped manufacturing it and now ever the slightest repair costs us extra charges for getting repair parts from hell. I don't know why such huge companies experiment on people for their shit. The money which I spent is no less and I think if it's life time is less than the one like Asus or pretty cheap companies better go for them. Check apple, atleast they have a very fine and well tested furbished model which is good though pricy. HP coustomer care services are even worse I am telling you trust me better go for something which prioritises customer satisfaction. If you feel I am just bitching about this company , just ask by yourself to the people who use HP wether they would go by HP laptop again? Just go with the one which is well tested before spending a lot of bucks!

Is this a good laptop?? link below =)?

Firstly I do not work for HP or Compaq but I have used their product for some time. I have purchased laptops and desktops, about 10 in total from HP. They have good hardware and good support(after service).

If you are just using it for school work and face book and messaging and etc, it would be fine.
Although for your use you can buy something less pricey. There are laptops from Dell, Asus, Acer, Lenovo for under 500 US dollars. Even the lower HP or Compaq model should be fine.
Check comparison shopping site for good prices.

Just make sure the laptop includes Windows 7 as operating system then you should be absolutely fine.(I won't go into the technical detail but the laptop that can run the new Windows 7 should be powerful enough for your daily work) Also avoid the small net books which are very small and cute, but which are only good for web surfing.

Is the HP Pavilion a good laptop?

Compared to what? or For doing what? Your question is vague so it’s really hard to answer you. On a personal level, I really don’t like HP especially Pavilion and Envy. If you intend to use any of them for gaming, they have massive heating issues. If you were asking about the specs, they’re okay but I can’t really say more as I have no idea what you’re using it for.

Is Compaq a good laptop brand?

Im getting a laptop this weekend and i was just wondering if that's a good brand. If its not, can anyone recommend a better one (not an expensive one though. It has to be $300 or $400.)

What is a good (cheap) gaming laptop?

Hi you will get conflicting answers to this question but 600 is far too cheap to expect any sort of performance out of a laptop so now you know you need to spend twice what you want to pay to get anything with any performance.
the answers are sometimes not what you want, but in most cases they are true, for instances the graphics on most laptops are part and parcel of the motherboard so the idea of changing the graphics card does become impossible until you pay a substantial amount for the laptop in the first place for and be able to change the graphics card.within a laptop.
so yes it could cost 2000 dollars for a laptop with the facility to change the graphics card but they are even limited. it is all due to cost for performance. you only get what you pay for.
