More than just a coincidence!?
For the past couple of years, the stranges thing keeps happening. Every night at about the same time no matter if I 'm driving, or at home...wherever I'm at when I look at the clock it says 1134. (what's the big deal you say) When you write 1134 upside down it spells "hell" at first I said I will play that number, but 1yr went by, then 2,and 3 yrs. I'm NOT kidding. It could be in the morning/night 1134. What do you think this means; if it means anything at all? I told this to one other person; my boyfriend. and he does think anything. But do you think this is strange or what?
How do atheists explain coincidences and what do they say about luck?
Let me begin by saying I am a student of Statistics and an atheist. I will try to explain how I interpret luck and coincidences.I recently learnt how to drive and was looking up what the probability of a person getting into a car accident in their lifetime is. Well, being in a car accident is rather unlucky and an awful coincidence. I found some statistics that say the probability for this in the USA is roughly 1% (seems a bit high, now I am shit scared of going to the US, ever). I will try to explain this in layman's terms. It means that if we consider the current US population, 1% of them are likely to die in a car accident. It also means that if we select 1000 US citizens in random, the likeliest outcome is that 10 of them will be in a car accident. Now lets say we observe these 1000 people. The probability that at least one of them will be in a car accident is 99.996% (believe me, this is correct). Now lets assume one of them does. Considering from his side, was he unlucky to be the 1 among a group of 1000 people to be in an accident? Was it a mere coincidence that that poor fellow was in a car that was in an accident?The way I see it, it had to be someone from the group. It could have been anybody, but it was him. Seems awfully sad from his perspective, but there had to be one, and it would always have been bad from that person's perspective. It does not have be God's will or anything for him to be in an accident. In a toss, someone wins and someone loses, its a certainty, that both cannot win at once. So when someone wins, I think its not really about destiny or anything, its just that someone had to win and it just was him. What I mean is that someone will always be lucky, and someone will always have a happy coincidence. We just don't know who it will be. If its me, well its my lucky day, but if it isn't, well that's just how the universe works!

SIGNS: Coincidences or messages from God?
So I've recently been really seeking God's help in a life situation that I'm in. From what I remember, all of this started after I prayed to God one night and included "I want your will for my life". And since then I've been getting COUNTLESS signs and symbols relating to eachother and then back to my situation. Here's an example of a sign I've interpretted. So basically I was really feeling that the Lana Del song Ride, as well as the monologue. So I immediately began relating it back to myself and to my situation. One of the lines that stood out to me for some reason was "He is my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds." I've always kind of called the guy in my situation "my sun". So that's the first part but I had nothing to show for the diamonds part. It was starting to bug me like why did I not have a significance for the diamonds. So at the end of the Ride MV (first time I watched or heard this) the credits roll and at the very end I see "Black Hand Cinema". This sparked an interest because it reminded me of this guy's '17 Black' James Bond tattoo. So I just RANDOMLY looked up (it's not like I was deliberately trying to find something) where is the 17 Black Bond reference from, what movie? And the movie was called 'Diamonds are forever'. This kind of stuff is too involved and too perfect to be a coincidence right? I guess what I'm asking is: Do you think that I am being naive and selective? I was really trying to push the fact that all of this has been random!! It's not like I've sat on my computer deliberately looking for things to relate to eachother. Everything's just entertwined so perfectly, almost too perfectly. And that's why I need your help!! THANKS LOVELIES.
Why am I experiencing so many coincidences?
My dear...it could be that you are beginning to open up psychically. That is how it started for me. There is a cute saying that Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous. Carl Jung talks about synchronicity. I remember thinking of a song while driving in the car when a teen. I turned on the radio and it was playing. Since then, I've had thousands of good hits, both "on the fly" and while working. You might look into www.edgarcayce.org for some basic training in intuition development in your area. Or you could start by reading a book on intuition by JoAnn Chase. Or you could start meditation, or doing yoga, or spending more time in nature and in silence....or praying and asking for insights. Or writing down your dreams, as was taught me by Ann Faraday in Dream Power. There are many ways to open up, but one way is to start paying closer attention to these things. Perhaps start a journal. Keep track of these "hits" and see how often they are really occurring.

The true answer to this lies in the original illustrated novel by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. The movie is based on the book and as always the book is significantly reduced down to fit into a movie.In the book, the chancellor Adam Susan (‘Sutler’ in the movie), has access to a government system called the “Fate Computer”. Fate has the ability to statistically predict the future.*Spoiler Alert now*. It is revealed in the book, that V has managed to hack into the computer to see the future and see where Evey was about to be attacked by the fingermen and arrive there to save her (and be ahead of the police and everyone). This dialogue is a veiled reference to his prior knowledge of the events that were about to unfold.Interestingly enough, V also uses his back alley access into Fate to get Adam Susan to fall in love with the computer and trigger weird romantic dreams.
Messages from god thru complete strangers ?
I went to the dentist to have a routine check up and left with a message sent to me from god :) it was at the end of my appointment when the dentist looks at me and says I not sure what this means to you but god would like me to tell you that your father is very proud of you . And I instantly knew he couldn't be making this up and felt my hart fill with excitement . My question is why did god use a complete stranger to tell me that why that time and place why didn't he just tell me him self ?

Sometimes you know. When I took a year off dating, I prayed the night before it ended about someone I had had my eye on. I said "Lord, if she's not the one, just have her say no." I stopped looking, put in it God's hands, and I am now with the person I will spend the rest of my life with... Next day we grabbed lunch, they were talking about not polluting the body because it's a temple. My bible fell open to a page I've never read, and at the top was a verse that said "in the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings..."
