How do I reply to a job offer email?

They basically told me what I would be doing, and asked if I would or would not like an interview and to write back by the 10th ... But they did not give me a name of the person writing it , how would you write back ? i really want this job

No response after job interview, what to write in email?

Following up isn't rude, in fact, it shows that you are really interested.

"Dear Mr. or Mrs. Smith,

It was a pleasure to meet you. I interviewed for the position of _________ on June 14, 2011. I am writing to inquire about the status of the position and reiterate my interest."

Add a line or two that may subtly jog their memory as to who you are and there you go.

How do professors view cold emails asking for research opportunities?

It is very hard to slip through the Spam barrier.Rule 1: Be very specificLooking for an adviser on my Master thesis on XYZRule 2: Be very shortI will scan the subject and maybe first line of the email. Others have other email settings.Rule 3: Tell me what you want and how much it will cost me.Looking for a research project… I would assume that you are asking to be hired in some way. If I do not happen to have money, I immediately stop reading. Can I visit your lab?… Sounds fishy. What do you want? Can we do research together?… You clearly don’t know how high-quality research works, so nope.Do you offer research opportunities?… Nope. Actually, I am not clear on what that means exactly. Do you mean research job opportunities? Opportunities to do research? Topics for a thesis? Would I want to be adviser on a thesis? This is not me being confused, this is students seeming to think that this means whatever they happen to think it means.Rule 4: Don’t insult me. (Happens more often than you think)Good example:Sub: Looking for primary adviser on Master thesisDear Prof. Mathiak,I am looking for a Master topic with regards Usability. I have read your paper “…” and would like to do something similar, but I am also open to other suggestions. Could we make an appointment? I am available …Sincerely, …Bad example:Sub: REsearch oppurtunityDear Mr. Mathiak,I have read all of your papers and I am very impressed with your academic prowess. I was wondering, if you could do research with me. I am sending you my c.v. I hope you can read OpenOffice, but I don’t believe in proprietary standards. If you can’t just send me an email and I will send you whatever format you prefer. Many regards, …attachment: cv.zip

What is an appropriate way to ask if a job has been filled without sounding desperate?

I went on an interview 4 weeks ago, and was called back a week later for a second interview. Both interviews went extremely well. The manager even said "I'm very happy, we'll be in touch" at the end of our meeting. I then wrote a follow-up email thanking him for his time, and re-iterating why I'd be a good fit for the company and that I was excited for the possibility of becoming a part of their design team. It's been almost 3 weeks now since that second interview and I haven't heard anything from them. I want to write an email inquiring if the position has been filled, just to see if I am still in the running but I don't want to sound needy or desperate. Can you give me any ideas of how to start the email? It's a kitchen & bath design position, if that helps. Thanks :)

Follow up email after job interview?

I interviewed a little over a week ago. Interviewed with two members of the company. It went ok. Both gave me their cards and said to email if I had any questions. The last one in particular asked about three times before the interview ended and this kinda makes me feel compelled to write and email with a question.

Note: I have already asked tons of questions including; what would be expected of me, what programs they use, what problems I am like to face, who/what to go to if I face a problem.

Need help writing a follow up email with at least one question so I get a response.
Thank you

Oh, its for a tax job with an accounting firm.

If I send an email to a recruiter, what should I write?

This email can be broken into 3 parts. Subject line, email body and the resume attachment. The subject line needs to be simple, clear and catch their attention. The content should indicate where you saw the posting, how you came by their direct contact info, and a brief pitch about why you would be a good fit for the role. Lastly, always include a resume attachment. This indicates that you know not to waste their time. It is considered a waste of time if they have to reply to your email to request for your resume. Recruiters would much rather open your resume, skim through it, and determine whether they would like to set up an interview with you right on the spot. Here are examples for each piece of the email.Subject:[Full name] application for [Job title, posting ID] - Resume AttachedEmail body:Hi ______,I’d like to express my interest in the __________ role at [company name] that I saw on ______ (or heard about it through [name]). I found your contact info via __________ so thought to reach out to you directly. I appreciate you taking the time to consider my application.[Short paragraph on why the company and why you are a great fit for the role]Best regards,[Full Name][Phone #]Attachment:Attach a well formatted, easy to skim resume that contains no spelling or grammatical errorsDo keep in mind that recruiters receive hundreds of applications from multiple sources so emailing them directly may not always get you a response. It could get lost in all the noise. Deploying this simple and to the point methodology, however, will maximize your likelihood of getting a reply. If you do not hear back within a week, definitely do send a follow up email or try other ways to get your application noticed.
