My dog is allergic to cigarette smoke?

Yeah I can't figure out what's going on. She limped again today after she woke up. I am worried about possibly 1. we have a weird neighbor who tried to call animal control on her, we took the shock collar off and she seemed fine until I got a call she was in the weird neighbor's yard. I hope the neighbor didn't try and poison her! 2. The shock collar, could that do this? Our last dog was a Bernese Mountain Dog, a breed that got hip displasia, and died of bone cancer. The last person who lived here got cancer. And the dog slept in my brother's room--which I noticed has a high pitched frequency sound when I'm in there but I'm the only one who hears it. She likes to sleep in my brother's room. I really can't think of ANY thing that caused this. If it is a tumor? Can the vets even detect that...and I hope its not the well water...or some cancer causing agent we aren't aware of. 4 days beforehand I found her eating in the garbage those mini chocolate chips. Gotten sick right away?

I get really high on cigarettes. Could that be some kind of allergic reaction or anything?

Typical physical reaction to "lighting up" after not smoking for two days or longer! You are getting a rush from the nicotine and you are replacing some oxygen with carbon monoxide among other noxious gases which will cause your lightheadedness. On the bright side, your blood pressure could be sky rocketing because of the stimulant effects of nicotine. ( it may constrict your circulatory system causing B /P to rise.)Without being judgemental, either quit or see a physician (who will tell you the same thing) about your symptoms if they don't subside.

How can I deal with an allergy to cigarette smoke?

The simple answer is just quit smoking and switch to vaping eliquids. These are safe alternative for you, it will give you option to taste thousands of flavors. There will be very less chances of being affected with allergy and thus it will hardly do any damage to your health. You will also able to huge amount of money by consuming electronic cigarettes that you would have wasted on smoking.

Possible to be allergic to Cigarette smoke?

Yes, that is possible. Some people do have allergies to smoke but generally they're more serious I think? I knew someone who was allergic to cigarette smoke and she had actual asthma like attacks and throat closing type issues when she got around cigarettes?
An itchy nose is also just a normal non-allergic reaction to the irritants in the smoke so you don't necessarily have an allergy. I used to smoke and it would sometimes make my nose itch especially if my nose/throat was dry, but I didn't have any sort of allergy to it. Its just really bad for you and very irritating to breathing passages.

Ask your mom to smoke outside, it is not good for you to be around second hand smoke. If she refuses, ask if she can at least sit by a window, pref. with a fan on blowing the smoke out.
Smoking inside is a really bad idea healthwise though, even for the smoker, because the smoke/toxins are trapped inside and everyone in the house breathes them in for hours after the cigarette is put out. If she smoked outside she wouldn't get quite so much lung damage I think?

Can a person develop and allergy to cigarettes after smoking for 6 years?

Allergic reactions can happen at any time, even with a history of constant exposure to a substance. There are plenty of different chemicals in cigarettes that your body may have suddenly developed a hard time coping with. It could also be something else in your environment causing this reaction. Probably the best way to really find out what specifically is irritating you is to visit a doc (such as an allergy specialist) and have some tests done.

Is it possible to be allergic to cigarette smoke?

Yes, it is possible. In principle you can be allergic to anything, and cigarette smoke contains a large range of different substances. The most common thing to be allergic to are pollen, molds, dust mites, animals and different kinds of food.
So you might be allergic to cigarette smoke, but the smoke might also "just" trigger another allergy you already suffer from - the same thing can happen with perfume or pollution for instance.

How can I help an allergy to cigarette smoke..I am snorting, headache, congested and sinus pain after exposure

.

edit to queen...mites. Some of these was from her inviting me to her appartment to visit where she smoked. Also a neighbor drove me to look at my totaled car and smoked in car. But I decided to write her a note that I could not come into her apartment as I had extreme allergy to cigarette smoke. She has a habit of leaving her door open. Also there are gaps in the door where one can see the hall light through the door edges, But she had her door shuit for 5 weeks due to a broken hall heater and gap under entry door makig the hall too cold and she left her door open the day after I wrote the note for 16 hours and several times throughout the day, I strongly smelled smoke inside my apartment though I don't smoke..this is the first time I ever smelled it and I feel this neighbor--the same one who badmouths other neighbors she was friends with and was spread false rumors that I was sleeping with my brother--is passive aggressive and not to be trusted. Both my son and I strongly

Are some babies actually allergic to cigarette smoke?

My mother is my main caregiver for my six month old daughter. She watches her two days a week for about five hours a day. Whenever I come to pick up my daughter my mom almost always tells me that she's been sickly all day. Spitting up often and coughing a lot as well as being restless and not napping are the things that my mom says worry her. She make me worry too and it drives me crazy. The thing is, once I get my baby home she is fine. No spitting up, no restlessness, no cough. My theory is that maybe her behavior has something to do with all the cigarette smoke in the air at my moms place. She refuses to believe that's true and even gets a little angry at me for suggesting it. Could I be right?

Can you suddenly develop an allergy to cigarette smoke?

I have smoked socially for close to three years, though my social cigarettes were usually few and far between. I never experienced any allergic reactions or anything of the sort, and I have never had any kind of allergies in my life.
Recently, I moved to a major metropolitan area, where I smoked a few cigarettes over the course of my first week with no problems. Then suddenly, every time I was around someone who was smoking, I would cough uncontrollably and sometimes my throat would even close up. And for days after this I would have trouble sleeping due to excessive cough and sore throat along with wheezing, which is scary, having never struggled to breathe before This has continued ever since, and these 1-2 days of suffering only occur when I am around smoke.
I have returned to my small community for a visit, and my reaction to smoke continues here as well. It is actually getting worse and beginning to affect my social life. Why would I suddenly develop such an awful reaction
