8th grade graduation dress?
So in June our school has eight grade graduation with a semi formal type of dance after. Im looking for a dress but I'm not sure if I'm getting to formal or not. I would like a light colored dress with some flow to it. It cannot be shorter than 5 inches above the knee (school dress code). I hope I can find one I like with spaghetti straps or one shoulder strap(strapless isn't really my thing). I would appreciate it if someone could give me some links to dresses. I have (high school) graduation coming up on June 7th. I found a dress I really liked, but I'm worried it's almost TOO DRESSY for graduation... well its probably different at each school, so ill tell you about mines when i was in 8th grade : i wore a dress, formal, but not too fancy. something like these would do: http://www.forever21.com/category.asp?catalog_name=FOREVER21&category_name=dress_dressy&page=all&pgCount=16 okay so basically we go home get dressed and ready for promotion, come back to school then hung out in the back for a while, til all the parents and family members were seated. then the staff lined us all up and walked us all up an aisle to a stage to our seats ( we sat abc order by last name ) then the principal said some stuff in the mic, and some students came up to the mic to read their promotion speech. the the principal went through everyones name, as he called each of our names we had to get up and walked up to the front to recieve our certificate and pose for a quick picture. then we walk all the way around back to our seats. then we just sit in our seats and wait for the principal to go through everyones name. then the principal goes "i present to you the class of (your promotion is in 2009 so i guess the class of 2009) then all the students line up again and exit through the aisle to the back, where theres a little kind of after party thing, and you just chill and hang out with your family and friends, take pictures, and then you leave. and thats it, rofl hope i helped.
