Is This Dress Too Over The Top

Is this dress attire over the top?

An A2A. Much obliged.I can see you try to coordinate the outfit in one tone, navy, so no it is not over the top. However that jacket is too big for you. That tie is also too wide for you, it'd look better with a slimmer tie, and thinner stripe or solid color. I can't really tell if that's a pocket square on your jacket due to the poor picture quality (for selfie, light is your friend, stand in a brighter spot), you can fold the pocket square in a more interesting way just look it up on YouTube. Just my suggestion but whatever floats your boat. If you want to know what is over the top, I have examples: On the left is Dolce&Gabana, on the right is Dsquared2. They fit beautiful but they are not for everyone. While I can appreciate their aesthetic I don't think many people can pull it off.

How do you dress dead people?

It isn’t that hard.First, rigor mortis has passed off by the time dressing is to be done. It does not cause a problem. There is some stiffening due to the formaldehyde fixing the tissue, but not so much as to stop you from putting on clothing in the normal fashion. Usually. There are exceptions, when it is almost required than clothing be cut in the back. Like when the person is too big for this suit. Or a woman who is now a size 12, but her favorite dress is a size 8 that she wore 20 years ago. Or when the clothing fits, but the body is just so large that it is difficult to maneuver it into the garments without the person standing up. Or the body is too badly damaged through trauma, etc.Firms differ as to how they handle these things. Clothing often can be made to fit better when you do not have to wrestle with the decedent to put it on. It can be adjusted to be exactly right, without looking pulled and prodded. And sometimes clothing can be torn if it is a struggle to get the person into it.On the other hand, I have never had to stitch back together a dress that we did not cut.(I have seen funeral directors mistake which side of the dress was the front. It is sometimes not an easy repair!)I generally prefer to evaluate first, cut only when that is the wisest course. Only when necessary.Other Funeral Directors cut almost every time, unless the family has made a point of it.Again, I tend to err on the side of caution. I have never had someone mad at me because I cut clothing, although it could happen. But I have CERTAINLY never had anyone mad because I did not.And just to address a point in another answer, the body is fully dressed. Even a half-opening casket would reveal way too much below the waist. And on most of the partially opening caskets, the cut is closer to 60% in the top, 40% in the bottom, than it is to 50/50.We do sometimes have people not bring trousers, under the influence of that idea, but they would be quite dismayed at the visitation by the poodles on Uncle Ralph’s boxer shorts, visible for all the world to see (assuming they brought THOSE)!

What is the best dress shape for me if I'm smaller on the top and have a bit of a belly?

This is a body shape that often develops after 40 when you start to experience symptoms of (peri)menopause and may gain weight around your waist. To be honest this is not the easiest body shape to dress as many women with this shape will be well aware of. Some women tend to cover it all up with lose garments, which in most cases is not the right thing to do.What you do want to do is to create the nicest silhouette possible. For many apples you can do that by creating the illusion of a waist, highlight your cleavage and create nice vertical lines. I also like the looks of a straight silhouette, but with the use of lots of vertical lines for a long and lean silhouette.Below are some rough guidelines what will and will not work for many apple shaped women over 40.

Dress to impress a tattoo artist?

My #1 suggestion is to be comfortable & be yourself. Seems like you've got that down.

Go with a tank (so you're not pulling a tube up every 30 seconds) jeans (in case you have to get into any weird positions while he's working! =) and boots. No accessories, his art is your accessory!

Keep things as casual as possible, remember that he is working, and remember there are probably plenty of other women drooling over him who get work done by him. What is it that you have to offer him? Make sure you know the answer to that question & truly believe you can rock his world, no matter how wild a guy he is.

I <3 Guys with Tattoos, so I feel ya, sister!!!

Will people think my wedding dress is too over the top?

It is an absolutely gorgeous dress!! And I'm just gonna throw this out there--who cares what people will think of your dress, anyway?? Haha I'm sure you'll look stunning in that dress. It's your dress, your wedding. Wear what you feel beautiful in. My dress is pretty classic, with tulle fabric layered the entire way to the bottom, with a 4-foot train. My veil is a 12-foot Cathedral Veil, since we're having a Catholic wedding. Some people might think it's over the top, but me? I LOVE it, and I don't care what they think! haha Just have that attitude, and you can't go wrong. You will love your wedding day if you do things the way you want. Don't sweat the small stuff, girl. :) xoxo

Is there any particular dress code for girls in the top NIT's of India?

Irrelevant Advice : NIT-K is much more female friendly when compared to NIT-W and NIT-T.SVNIT is a very respectable college and allows you to score a decent gpa too.  Future GPA is much more important that a small difference in brand name. Expect not more than 7 / 10 in NIT-W | NIT-T unless you are a huge nerd. NIT-K is medium.DASA students joining NIT-W have board scores of around 96% and few clear bitsat,  IIT with undesirable branches, and Mains with 10,000 rank. They are suffering ( 5 - 6.5 GPA )
