Michael Kors Watch Real or Fake?
Hi I would say it is authentic. I checked his feedback and he has been getting all positive feedback for other MK watches and other brand names like Coach. In case you got it and you thought it was fake you can report to eBay, but from the feedback it seems as he is selling authentic products. Also eBay is really strict on sellers who sell brand products, so as soon as someone reports him for selling fakes all his item would be off of eBay and he can't sell until he proves his items are authentic. i boutght a michael kors watch on ebay to save some money. when i got the watch everythin with it is fine. it works great and looks great. i have another one exactly the same just in a different color. but the one i just bought doesn't have the michael kors logo engraved on the back. like i said, everything else is great. does this mean its fake and i should return it?

Michael Kors markets cheap fashion watches made under license by Fossil. There is no economic payoff in counterfeiting a watch that retails for $150-$350. If you buy a Michael Kors watch you have purchased a cheap watch. A fake one would be no different. As for gold? No.

Technically speaking the MK watches are real gold but not solid gold, just gold electroplated. That is like depositing a thin layer of gold onto the surface of the watch's stainless steel. The layer is actually very very thin, from 10-50 microinches thick depending on quality of plating.

Just like Armani, Kenneth Cole, etc. It could be that Michael Kors' standard is quite high and whomever is manufacturing the watch will make a good watch. But it's still at the low-end spectrum like Nixon, Fossil or your average shopping mall accessories stores. The three exceptions noted above are historically respected for very good quality and name-brand recognition but they are not exclusive to watch-manufacturers per se. As indicated by Suzanne Wong (and for anyone with a passion for watches, follow her wisdom at Quora) "Hermes has a factory in Neuchatel, Switzerland, and two in-house movements co-created with specialist movement maker Vaucher. Bulgari make some of the most complicated watches in the business, including a grande et petite sonnerie with Westminster chime, in their factory (used to be the Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta premises) in Le Sentier, and they also have facilities in Neuchatel. Cartier has a facility in Meyrin that produces their Geneva Seal watches and also a large production site in La Chaux-de-Fonds for extremely complicated watches" I would personally wear a Cartier anytime and know that it's an excellent timepiece. I agree with Mike Peattie: Try Seiko or Citizen to start. You won't go wrong.

Yes of course they are. All items even the extreme high end are authentic. Micheal Kors are not high end, they are very cheap, Low quality fashion watches for gullible middle class folks to feel fancy. The movements are inferior to even less expensive watches like Swatch and Swiss Army. They even look cheap with gold painted cases and lack of details. The only legitimate reason to purchase one is to show the world you have $150 and really poor taste.
