Is This Normal For The Flue

The flu and my period. Is this normal?

I got my period yesterday night right before I went to sleep.
This morning at about 4:30 I came down with a flu and threw up approximately once an hour until about 2 in the after noon. Sometime during the day my period stopped. My periods usually last 4-5 days. Is this normal for the flu or is it a clue that something is seriously wrong with me?

Is it normal to have diarrhea after the flu?

When I say "after the flu," I mean when the fever goes away.

See I had a fever for about 24 hrs or so, and then after the fever went away, I started to get diarrhea. Is this normal?

It's not painful or anything. It's just my stomach is make a lot of gurling noises constantly. And I can hold it in. So I wouldn't consider it severe by any means. What should I do?

Legs hurting! is this normal for the flu?

I've been really tired all the time for about 1day and a half. Im running a fever and my whole face and back are really hot but i get cold chills. Also my legs are hurting. My right leg hurts in the upper, inner thigh, and my left leg hurts on the upper outer thigh. They hurt to the point of me wanting to cry! I am 15 years old. Is my legs hurting a normal symptom of the flu?

Is it normal to have a flu in the summer?

Flu can get you any time of year, although it’s more common in the winter. There are other viruses besides influenza, like some adenoviruses, that feel pretty much the same to the patient. Many people feel that viral illness is worse in the summer when everyone else is outside enjoying themselves.

Is it normal to not poop for a while after having the stomach flu?

You sort of have two strikes against you here. One, not having a lot of food passing through you due to the flu, and two, the dehydration which causes constipation. If you are getting lots of water/fluids and are now eating, try adding bran to your diet, metamucil or stool softeners if you don't have one by tomorrow. A person can go many days without "going" under your conditions, longer if you are off food. Since you said that you were back to normal eating, give it another day and then try the metamucil and stool softeners. Over the weekend, if you feel like you have to go but can't, take a laxative, but a mild one. (the other option is an enema but many people don't prefer that route)

(Flu) Is it normal to feel like throwing up when you have influenza?

Pretty sure I’m a hypochondriac, but that’s besides the point.
So I’m 15, 5’7 & 120 Lbs, & I’ve had the flu for about 3 days. Just now I started feeling somewhat nauseous, is this normal?

Is it normal to vomit after getting a flu shot?

Not normal. Never heard of it happening before, in fact.More likely a cortex-based reaction than something in the chemistry of the shot. Although every vaccination has minor risks, nausea is not a usual allergic response.Could be a vasovagal phenomenon brought on by pain or anxiety related to the shot. If you’ve ever had a fainting spell, episode of throwing up, or other unusual phenomena around painful or fearful experiences, that would be my first guess.

Is it normal to have hallucinations when you have the flu?

It can happen.Hallucinations (mostly small and occasional ones) are common for many people. They only become a problem if they are too dominating and distracting, or if you begin to believe in them and shape a worldview based on them, i.e. they turn into delusions. The brain often gets impacted by viral infections – causing “disease behaviour”– when the patient is irritated, sensitive to light and noises, and gets autistic symptoms (wants to be alone and withdrawn, which is very noticeable in children that get sick). And sensory disturbances such as hallucinations can be a part of this.It can also occur from high fever, dehydration, salt deficiency and sleep depravation.(And sometimes constipation can cause a toxic overload which impacts the brain and causes mental symptoms, although probably more in the field of depression and anxiety: Psychological disorders in patients with chronic constipation).Hallucinations can be a sign that something is slightly more serious than usual, so care should be taken to measure fever, get enough fluids and some food, and get sleep and rest.It can also be a less usual sign of meningitis. Generally, everybody should know the basic symptoms of meningitis, and that it can mimick a flu.If you have more than very slight hallucinations, or delusions, or if you lose consciousness, a doctor should be contacted. *) The same if you have a very high fever (over 40 °C), or a normal fever (over 38 °C) in more than 2–3 days, or if you have very strong headache, urinary pain, diarrhea, a lot of slime in the airways, and especially if there are difficulties breathing. If you take antiviral medication, such as against herpes, there can also be slight mental side effects. When I get a flu, I usually get some mental irritation the day before the flu is eminent – but often I don’t realise the reason until I have a fever and feel sick.If your fever is manegeable, don’t take fever-lowering remedies, as they may prolong the time you are sick. You need the fever, as long as it doesn’t reach dangerous levels.*) I cant bring myself to write: “If you get unconscious, contact a doctor.”

Is it normal to have flu like symptoms after a detox bath?

It is normal. Make sure you keep drinking a lot of water and add a probiotic to flush out all of those toxins in the body. Its seems to get worse before you feel better. Also make sure you are taking a good Multi, B Complex and extra calcium. Those should help with the fatigue. Hope this helps!

I bled during my flu shot today. Is this normal, and is it safe that this happened?

It is perfectly normal for an Intramuscular injection to bleed. It actually indicates that the vaccine went were it was intended. Muscles are deep and are rich in blood supply. Flu vaccines are given as an intramuscular injection and requires a larger bore needle. The needle size choice should be made according to your build. If you are of a smaller stature, a smaller needle could be used which may have minimized the bleeding, but your nurse practicioner is correct. If you dont trust her, you should find someone that you would trust.
