Is This Not Going To Make Me Look Good

How to look good in ugly school uniform?

Number one you should focus on having the best hair. Ribbons, hairbans, curling, crimping, straightening.Pair that with a smile. A classic watch. Oh and for individuality wear crazy socks under uniform socks- a different pair every day of the week then as you get more every day of the month. I did this and it made me feel better.

You can wear buttons, Political buttons can not be taken from you if you live in the USA. It is freedom of Speech even in a school with a uniform. I wore a different button everyday. Flag pins are highly excepted in almost any country.

But just to let you know school uniforms are a good thing even if they are ugly. There are far less sexual harassment incidents and gang violence in schools that have a uniform. I have been in both kinds of schools and it was more pleasant in the one with the ugly uniform.

Do my large ears make me look ugly or if im already not good looking, does it make me look worse?

Don't be so insecure! Your ears are not that big. Everyone sees the worst in themselves. It's a known fact. For instance, I'm self-conscious about a small mole on my neck, and I used to freak about it (and was going to get it removed) when no one even noticed before.

It's not a big deal! Besides, all though this sounds cliche, the people that matter care more about YOU than how you look...specifically your ears. Ha-ha.

And honestly? I know people with big dumbo ears (which you do not have) and they are actually really popular. It's all in how you present yourself.

Do looks really matter in life? Do good looking people have an advantage?

Yes, looks matter.Don't tell me that you have not been bullied in school/college/office because of how fat/skinny/nerdy you look?Don't tell me that you were not made to stand in the back rows during stage performances in school, while a few beautiful faces were always there at the first rows?Don't tell me that you weren't judged by how you look,  Fat : you must be eating your siblings’ food as well. Skinny : Don't your parents give you any food to eat? Fair : How much makeup have you applied?/how many visits of parlor do you make in a month? Dark : start applying sunscreen, fairness creams, blah blah blah…Don't tell me your first crush was not because of how cute/sexy he/she looks?Don't tell me when you imagine your future partner the first question that pop up inside your head isn't 'I really wonder how he/she will look like? 'Don't tell me that the person you loved the most didn't chose someone else who was more impressive than you in terms of looks?Don’t tell me that you don’t click on ‘Read More’ whenever you see a picture of someone good looking on Quora answers?Don’t tell me you don’t follow hot/cute girls/boys on Instagram and admire how perfect they look?Don’t tell me that you have not been rejected because of your looks?Don’t tell me that this little kid is famous because of his talent and not looks :Don’t tell me this girl did something extra-ordinary and became an overnight star because of that and not because of her looks and wink and expressions? :And girls don’t tell me your heart doesn’t skips a beat everytime he smiles ? :Don’t tell me that good looking people don’t have any advantage !Looks do matter in the society we live in and this is one of the bitter truths that we need to digest.Good looks matter but it is a good heart that makes all the difference :)-Unnati :)

What does it mean when someone says "you make me look good"?

This can mean a few different things:
A. (No offence intended, I don't know you) you could be not very attractive, or overweight, making the other person look less fat or better looking.
B. On the other hand, you could be very good looking and people might think you're in a relationship, making your friend look good.
C. If you have a high social status, it might make your friend look popular as well.
D. It could be sarcasm. Sometimes if an adult hangs out with a teen it makes then look bad (like they can't get friends/boyfriends/girlfriends their own age). So having you as a friend might make them look bad, but they says the opposite because they are being sarcastic.

Will a leotard make me look fat?

I'm going to start doing ballet and I have to wear a leotard and tights. Will a leotard make me look fat? I'm 5'7" and currently weigh 128/129lbs. But I'm starting to lose weight and hope to get down to 120lbs before I start dance in the summer. Do you think I will look okay in a leotard?

Liquid foundation doesn't look good on me..why?!?

Sometimes a product isn't matched to your skin. It could be due to:
- Your skin type not being compatible with the product.
- A poor product.
- Poor application.

I use a face & body foundation from MAC that works really well (link below). It's a really light foundation that can be layered if you want a stronger result. I've had no problems with it. I usually apply it generously and dab off the excess with cotton pads:

I also have a brush from there that's made of pony hair that works really well for applying liquid foundation. Make sure you're not using brushed that are designed for powdered foundation as this won't allow an even application. This is the brush:

Are you also applying liquid foundation to dry skin? This may also be a problem. Try to moisturise before applying, leave the moisturiser about 10 minutes to settle and then use it as a base for your foundation.

The face and body liquid foundation from MAC is very light, it's not gloupy etc.so it's really easy to apply and be absorbed by your skin.

Go into a shop and ask them for advice, they'll be able to give you the best products based on your skin type. Tell them the problems you've been having with previous products and they'll be able to tell you why you're having problems etc. You don't have to go to a MAC shop to get advice, any good cosmetics counter will be happy to tell you.

Just be sure you can distinguish between good advice and a hard sell.

Am I the only one not loving this lipgloss trend. Lipgloss makes me look childish and weird?

I know lipgloss is a huge trend now and all of the celebrities and YouTube stars and Instagram stars are wearing it but I cannot get it to look good on me. It looks childish and weird on me no matter how I wear it. I wear it myself, over top lipsticks, I’ve tried so many different formulas and brands and they all make me lips feel wet weird and sticky. Plus lipgloss doesn’t last as long. I’ve seen women who can look chic in lipgloss but I hate the way it looks on me
