Is This Really True Or Not

Is the saying 'no one is ugly' really true?

No. Absolutely not.You hear so much “oh they’re beautiful on the inside” bollocks or “she’s pretty but has an ugly personality” nonsense being bandied about.Well I call bullshit. To the beautiful-on-the-inside crowd, first of all stop being so patronising and, secondly, it’s called “being a good/decent person” :)You don’t “have an ugly personality” or “do things that make you ugly“ - that’s what the words arsehole, wanker, and other more choice epithets are for.And yes, beauty is subjective, blah blah blah, and what one person finds unattractive another will find beautiful etc., but secretly we’re all pulling this face at that other person:Being realistic about it though, some people are just butt ugly. Doesn’t make them bad people, they’re just not good looking.Let’s face it, no matter how many bus loads of children he saves, Andrew Lloyd Webber is never going to turn eyes away from the Tom Hardys of the world. One of the gunmen at the Bataclan massacre was splashed all over the internet and in the papers because he was a good looking guy.And he was.He was also an evil, demented bigot who should burn in hell for all eternity. You see, the only thing inside us that makes us ugly or pretty is our bone and muscle structure making pleasing or unpleasant lumps and dimples in our meat sack. And neither good nor evil deeds, contrary to what the games and film industries would have you believe, alter that structure.I know some people find me ugly, and some people think I’m damned fine - and they are all entitled to their opinion. Hey, I might agree with either one of them from one day to the next. It’s ok to think someone is ugly, just as it’s ok to think someone is beautiful.I think what people are grasping for when they say “no one is ugly” is that you probably shouldn’t tell people they are - because you’re not a wanker, are you?

Is this really true?????????????

Yes they actually are. Leopard Geckos live in an area (Pakistan and Afghanistan) with many, many scorpions. And most of them would be deadly to a small animal like them if they were not immune. So they adapted to that, and now, Leopard Geckos will often eat scorpions if they can find any.

EDIT: Yes it is true. I heard it from REPTILES first, then I looked it up because I found it hard to believe, but it is true.

And by the way, you should join Reptile Channel. They have really good forums there. I am a member there. My username is Roho.

Is true love really blind or not?

I disagree.. True love is not blind, Infatuation is blind. Love is all-seeing and accepting. Love is seeing the flaws and blemishes and accepting them. Love is accepting the bad habits and mannerisms, and working around them. Love is recognizing all fears and insecurities, and knowing your role is to comfort. Love is working through all the challenges and painful times. Infatuation is fragile and will shatter when life is not perfect. Love is strong and it strengthens because it is REAL…

Is it really true that good things come to those who wait?

It is not true that good things come to those by merely waiting. What this maxim tells you is not to be impatient. You need to give some time for your work to fructify. But it does not mean that you should have infinite patience. Do not waste your entire life by waiting for the result of what you do or have done. That would be utter stupidity because all work, even though performed earnestly, do not produce the desired good things. And there are solid scientific reasons for this which I do not want to take up now since it would be a bit of unnecessary digression. All religions including Hinduism provide roll overs. Hinduism tells us that if nothing happens by waiting the whole life, then it would be carried over to the next birth. This can only be a consolation or an escape path. This is certainly not acceptable in the present times.

Is it really true that no knowledge is wasted?

Any piece of knowledge has a situation wherein it can be used to gain an advantage in achieving your goals. However, before learning any particular thing, you should try to evaluate how often that knowledge will be used, as opposed to trying to learn everything. For example, learning to read, write, type, and sleep is a good idea as you’ll always be able to use the information later. On the other hand, Economic or STEM information you learn as a “just in case,” might not be used, and you’ve wasted your time if that happens. So technically yes, but don’t count on it.

Are religions really true?

Think it through, if there was really a god that watches and controls how people act and think, would there be a zillion different religions? If people really believed that aborting a fetus was wrong why would they be in favor of murdering other peoples children, by dropping bombs on them?If there was a real god, wouldn’t he make it clear to people that he was “God”, instead of allowing violence between believers of different faiths? What kind of a god would let his people worship an evil evangelist who profits from misguiding them in his name by asking for their money? It doesn't make any sense. If there really was an all-powerful god why would religious belief be one of the most divisive parts of society?Do you think that Catholic Priests would really abuse children if they truly believed that there was a god who saw everything they did, or cover up for the ones who do?I’m not saying that all religion is evil, but there is enough to warrant that much of it is.I’m tired of hearing, I’m not one of those Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc..If there’s a god there shouldn’t be good and bad examples of every religion. At least one of them should have a vast majority of good people. If you believe in god and still believe that it is OK to burn people alive or stone a young woman to death because her boyfriend is of a different religion your god and your religion, is not real, or humane these are real things that still happen. If you believe that someone of a different race is inferior just because of their origins your religion isn’t real. If there was a god he would be everyone's god.And if you think that the universe was created only 6,000 years ago after the rise of contemporary humans and that they lived in the same period as dinosaurs your religion is not based on any kind of fact.So let's just be truthful, religions were created by people in an effort to profit from it in some way. Usually to set themselves above others of their own kind by claiming to be the spokesman for their god. What’s good is doing what is right because it’s the right thing to do, not because you expect to be rewarded or punished.

"Inflation is not possible under the gold standard" Is this really true? why?

No, not entirely. However, a gold standard would eliminate a lot of the incentive to create the types of inflation we've seen in recent history.

Inflation comes when the money supply is expanded while the supply of goods and services holds constant. You end up with more money chasing the same amount of goods, so prices expand upward. That's the side of inflation we see.

In a fiat money economy like we have now, the government or the central bank can expand the money supply at will, and inflation can develop. Since the government benefits from effectively printing up more money, there's a lot of incentive to inflate and disrupt people's lives.

On the other hand, a gold-standard economy leaves far less room for government or central bank manipulation, and therefore inflation would seem less likely. On the other hand, there were cases of inflation during times like the California Gold Rush, when lots of new gold came onto the market. On balance, however, I'm still inclined to think that the gold standard would be more dependable than putting my faith in government bureaucrats to stabilize my money.
