Is This Safe For Kittens

Is it safe for kittens to fly at 6 weeks of age?

are you taking them in a carrier in the cabin with you? If yes, then no younger than 10 weeks, and they must have all their shots current.

If you are not taking them in the cabin with you, they need to be at least 7-8 MONTHS old because of the air pressure and the heat/cold of the baggage cabin. Once again, must be current and you should have it treated for fleas (baggage area are notorious for bugs).

Either way, make sure you take pictures of the kittens from every angle in case they are lost, or misplaced. Microchipping is a good way of proving ownership.

Is it safe for kittens to eat ramen?

Ramen noodles are a curiosity, certainly not nutrition, for kittens. They'll try just about anything that smells like food.

She'll be fine, but not fed!

Is catnip safe for kittens?

Not sure about kittens, but from the 2 experiences I have had with cats on catnip, I don’t know why anyone would want to give it to their cat. I worked at a veterinary clinic for 24 years. Incident #1 We had a sweet house cat, who roamed around the hospital. One time, someone got a bag of catnip and put it a cabinet above the washing machine. I went into the cabinet to get some fabric softener and the bag fell on the floor. Tiger was playing with the bag (not even in direct contact with the catnip itself) while I was setting up the wash. When I was done—maybe 5–10 mins later, I went to pick the bag up off floor. This cat, who would never hurt a fly—OR a mouse, swatted at me. Like he was telling me to not touch his “stash”. Incident #2—- office visit with a client and her cat that I had taken care of many times with no problems. This visit, the owner opened the carrier and could not get the cat out. Finally, I did the “tip it over” trick, out came the cat along with catnip. The cat was growling—-was uncooperative. We had trouble taking the temp—weighing the cat on the scale—-all in all, a difficult visit. The owner said she put the catnip in the carrier to “mellow him out”. I made a request, that she clean out the carrier thoroughly when she got home and to NEVER give catnip before a visit or to put in the carrier again.

Is it safe to give kittens tuna? Why or why not?

Yes, it is natural for cats to eat raw fish.  Cooked fish, such as canned tuna, doesn't have all the nutrients that a kitten needs, but it's OK now and then.  I have fed canned tuna to many kittens, and they were fine.  The only caveat is that fish these days (especially tuna) has a lot of mercury, so you should limit how often you feed it to them.  I would follow the label recommendations for children, with the exception that a serving size for a kitten is obviously much smaller than that for a kid.

Is Kiwof safe for a 3 month old kitten?

Is Palmolive dish soap safe for kittens?

I have a 6 week old kitten that I've taken in, and she's a healthy girl but has some fleas. She's obviously not old enough for any drops or powder yet and until I can get to the grocery store for cat shampoo (which I plan to dilute), I was wondering if using Palmolive would be okay? I want to get rid of some of the fleas but I don't want to make her sick or anything.

Is it safe to use Dove soap to bathe a kitten?

i want to bathe him because he's a very messy eater (i give him moist food) and i've noticed that he won't lick food from his face after he's done eating, it just dries and gets stuck to his fur.
