Is This The A Good Computer

Is this a good computer?

You could run some basic games on that, but yeah, the parts are a little out of date. Your processor is 3.7GHz, so that is not to bad. Also, you can overclock your processor to up to 4.2GHz which is great. Your computer also comes with 12GB of memory which is defiantly not to shabby. The computer is defiantly going to be able to play games like planet side 2 and Minecraft, that was actually kinda a good steal. I say money well spent friend.
If you ever need another computer, go to cyberpowerpc. Also, feel free to ask for some advice.

How much should I expect to pay for a good computer?

For an average Quoran… an average Quoran. Who is the average Quoran? The average person asking questions, or the average person answering them? The two are not nearly the same.If it was the average user ASKING questions… that would either be a gamer who wanted a gaming machine for $300 -$500… or it would be a young adult intending to go to college who hasn’t picked their school yet, and they don’t know what classes they will be taking or what software they will be using, and they have about $1000 to spend. Those seem to be the prices I’d say that fit the “Average” Quoran who asks questions about purchasing computers. The people who answer questions… there’s the Apple camp. That bottoms out at $1000, but is usually between $1500 to $2000. There are limited hardware options in the Apple camp. Not bad, just not many choices… that’s just how the Apple rolls. There’s the Chromebook camp. This is around $300 tops for an internet surfing machine you can use for light office tasks and watching/listening to media. There’s the Windows camps… gaming and non. Gaming can be done for $800, but you should plan for $1200. Non gaming… the median price most recommended is about $500 to get a machine that will serve needs appropriately. And with Linux… well, that’s another answer entirely.

How do you describe a good computer?

I would say that a fast computer, with high RAM and ROM, is a good one. Also those with more than one core in it, like the new Intel Duel-Core.

Acer aspire 7720-6155 is it a good computer?

It would be a poor investment if you want to use it for gaming. The processor is 1.5 GHz, and that's super slow now these days. The video/graphics card is okay but you can not replace it since it's integrated or attached to the motherboard. The computer would be good though for school work and some multitasking since it's dual core and has decent memory. If you want to do gaming, you need to spend at least $600 for a laptop that fits those needs.

I recommend you to get this instead.

Is this Gateway computer a good gaming computer?

I went to Best Buy and saw this computer- Gateway® SX2841-09e Desktop
http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668741.php
If i were to purchase this computer, I would use it for gaming. The one game i'd mainly use it for is The Sims 2. The guy at our local Best Buy told us that it could easily handle the game, but the last time my sister bought a computer for gaming and asked about that game, one employee told us it was very unlikely with the laptop she purchased, but the computer crashed several weeks later. I'd like a second opinion. Thanks! :)

What is a good computer temp in Fahrenheit?

This is a very easy question.

You case has an lcd display of its ambient temperature. What is this? The air temperature inside. My ambient run's at 32c right now, which is pretty low. That's 89F. I seen my ambient to 40c. thats 105F! lol

Well, I converted your 81Fahrenheit to Celsius. It's 27... lol That is very low. Nice. Your case if moving air very well. This also suggests the parts inside are staying cool. But not 100% proof.

The real temps that matter are cpu, gpu, and onboard. What are these?

CPU is your processor... that should never reach above 60c(140F). 70c(158F) or higher is bad for most.

GPU is graphics card core. That should hopefully remain under 80c(176F). 120c(248F) is the limit for most graphics cards.

And the rest is usually northbridge controller on motherboard. You can sometimes open your case and see the heatisnk or fan built onto it.

How to check all of these? Speedfan works best for me. I can monitor 5 temps, and control my cpu fan, and case fan speed. So when I play games, I turn up my fans from 40% to 60 or 70%. My system stays cooler.

I would say 81F is a great temp in fahrenheit. If you are staying around room temperature within 10 degrees or so, thats very good. I can get 20 over room temp.. thats not so good. lol.

More important is your graphics card temp and cpu. Make sure both are clean of dust to get best performance from fans and heatsinks. This can lower temps even more! Good luck =)
