Is This Too Morbid For A Ya Novel

How hard is it to stab someone to death? I only ask out of morbid curiosity because I've heard contradictory information on that point.

In the context of civilian novices who are not professionally trained—Stabbing someone to death usually looks like this: the attacker with forward grip tries to make primitive thrusts at the victims stomach or neck- the victim responds by trying to grab his arm holding the knife. The combat is characterized as such with little or no change in tactics. For the average adult man it is relatively easy to stab a child, women and elderly. It is moderately easy to critically injure another adult man, exceptionally hard to stab a martial artist or weight lifter. It is the same for an adult woman versus another average woman, child vs child of the same frame.Between two professionals, the match is anything but easy.It depends on quickness and strength. A weak or slow person can be disarmed after a few stabs or if any at all. But most likely, a stab with a large knife any where on the torso, especially below the rib cage, will cause bleeding and the victim will become weak in matter of seconds. Which makes the affair relatively easy. How hard it is depends alot on element of surprise. Can’t argue with the ease of a few stabs to the heart or a deep cut across the throat. If the victim does not see it coming nothing can be done to prevent it. And in this event, the prolonged game of the attacker trying to stab while the victim tries to grab would also be easy. However there have been cases of attackers trying to make fatal injuries but the victim survives. For example, stabbing the throat is unreliable way of severing the carotid. One or both of them have to be severed completely to guarantee death. This is easily done by a deep long cut but not if the victim sees it coming or the instrument is dull. The location of the heart varies from person to person and its a small organ the size of a fist. It is also protected from the front by ribs and shoulder blade and spine from the rear.Another thing people try to do is stabbing or severing the abdominal aorta vein. The aorta is a large blood vessel that pumps blood from the heart to the lower body… it’s a large vein under alot of pressure, alot of blood travels through it. Cutting it will cause bleeding to death, this is why knifers typically stab the stomach. But this is not so easy because the vein is buried under intestines, ab muscle and fat, its just behind the spine. It requires a large knife.

Morbid question about perfection and suicide?

Can an perfectionist who is curious about suicide expect to stay alive?

If he wishes to live then does that not make him a perfectionist?

If he is curious about it and doesn't suceed then is he not a perfectionist in this case too?

5 artifacts from the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel? Help!?

1.) The violin. When Juliek played it, Wiesel thought why would someone want to play a violin among the dead and the dying.

2.) A yellow star. Jews 6 years of age and older were required to wear a yellow star whenever they went out.

3.) A loaf of bread. The only food source that kept Wiesel from starving to death.

4.) Snow. It was everywhere when they had to evacuate Auschwitz. When the guards did not give them bread, Wiesel and the others lived on snow for days at a time.

5.) A yarmulke. Wiesel had faith in G-d. Even when he was imprisoned at the camps, he still had faith.

What's the big deal about Twilight? ?

Twilight is a book about a classic girl who falls in love with a vampire. What seems to be intriguing about the book is how perfect the vampire is, which is good for women because its a classic romance, and is good for guys becuase it has many action sequences in which Edward, the vampire, has to save his love Bella (i believe thats her name) from the rest of the vampires who want to feed on her. Its there love that drives them to stay together no matter how many turn against them or how they put there lives at stake, they remain as one. I think thats why people love the book. The characters love is fearless.
