Is Three Workouts A Day Ok

Is it ok to workout 3 times a day?

I been working out for 7 weeks now.. and have got some insane results quickly to... the first week i got sore a lot.. 2-3 week never got sore much.. and now 4-7 i been getting smooth 2 workouts a day and dieting and feeling good..

But i think i can easily do 3 times a day because i enjoy doing it and i love the way it makes me feel, but what would that do? I eat healthy to.

I also do the same workout everyday x2... I lift light weight high reps for about 45mins..(including crunches/pushups) then i do my cardio for about 20-30mins.

Right now my weight is 160 at 5'9.

But yea 3 workouts? Would it be ok?

Is it safe to do 2 P90x workouts in the same day?

One workout of P90X is designed to burn at least 600 calories if you're working like you should. They are very strenuous and it would be very difficult for anyone to do two workouts a day and really "Bring It." If you double up workouts per day your second workout may suffer. For one your muscles are already fatigued and your body will be exhausted. Second and more important the routine is designed for daily use. That's how muscle confusion works.

Is it ok to workout 3 days in a row?

You can workout 3 days in a row, but only if you exercise different groups of muscles each day. Normally, a muscle needs to rest one day before you exercise it again. Not giving it rest on a long term basis results in abnormally huge muscles.

Is it safe to workout 2 hours a day?

Safe: yes.
Effective: maybe

If won't kill you. If your goal is to cut fat it will probably help. If you want to build muscle and you are going hard with weights and cardio for 10 hrs a week then you are probably going to enter over training land very quickly.

But most of that depends on the intensity of your exercising and how much resting you are doing during the workout. 2 hrs on a treadmill at 2mph is one thing. 10 sets of heavy squats followed by deadlifts and then rows all followed by 30-45 min of HIIT cardio will tax your body can cause gains to stall.

So it all depends. But you can burn 1000 calories per hour if you are doing a max effort circuit with minimal rest.
