Can eyeliner damage your eye?
Yes, it’s not my personal view but ophthalmologist strongly worn about it. But if you use eyeliner in limit and in the right way then I sure, your eyes cannot get harm. Just you have to attention on some guidelines:First of all, you should check out the tone of your eyes. If your eyes are sensitive then you should care it very politely. What part of the eye do you apply eyeliner?
Eyeliner is applied on top of the lid, or on top of the lashes. If you line the inside for both the eyelid and the bottom lid (waterline), it can cause eye infections due to the build of bacteria. It can also cause blurred vision when it goops up in the back of the eye. You should avoid doing this, and instead apply it on your lashes, or as close to the lashes as possible. Plus, lining the inside bit can cause your eyes to appear smaller.
Is Eyeliner Bad For Your Skin?
It can, but if you put it all around your eyes (eyelid as well), it can make them appear smaller. Apparently putting white pencil eyeliner on the inside of your eyes (like, the rim?) makes them appear wider and more alert, but I don't know personally I don't think it's bad for your skin at all For eyeliner, personally I like Collection 2000, which costs about £4 ($8), I think If it's over 6 months old and used by more than 1 person, it can give you conjuctivitus...and if you share with someone who has conjuctivitus, obviously you'll get it too I prefer liquid, but most people I know like pencil best. Pencil is easier to smudge and easier to apply and looks more sort of casual, but in my opinion liquid eyeliner stays on longer, has a darker, stronger line, but if you haven't had much practise putting it on, it can be difficult to apply evenly Colour wise, black or brown, unless you really want to look bright and get noticed, in which case use bright pink or blue...Barry M's 'Kingfisher' shade is very bright, and only costs £3.50/$7 or something
Can eyeliner damage Hair or eyes?
I think the only way eyeliner can damage your eyes would be if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in it. I am allergic to most eye makeup, even the hypoallergenic ones. Also, if you have an eye infection such as pink eye, you should discard all your makeup, especially the eye makeup and buy all new after your eyes clear up. The reason for that is, the eye makeup and hold bacteria that can give you a reaction. It is recommended that you should replace your eye makeup ever three months. Never use someone esle's eye makeup and don't share yours. Thats how infections are spread. Hope this helps.
Is it ok to sleep w/ eyeliner on?
Well, there's no good answer for that. Yea, you could fall asleep with makeup on and wake up just fine, but you never know - you might rub your eye in your sleep, get something into your eye and wake up with a nasty eye infection. I think it's better to play it safe and take it off. If time is your concern, get some good makeup remover wipes (I like Garnier brand) and use that to clean your skin and eyes on really late nights when you don't wash with facial cleanser.
Can i wear mascara if i have a clearing up eye infection?
Today is Tuesday. Last Sunday ( 2 days ago) i went swimming and got an eye infection, not a serious one though. Yesterday it was okay and i have been applying eye drops that the doctor gave me (non prescription though) and its clearing up. Tomorrow my friend wants me to go out with her and i can not leave the house without a little mascara on. I havn't worn mascara since i got the infection so i know the brush isnt infected and i dont get my mascara in my eyes. I know its not the wisest choice, but its almost a must that i wear it to go out. Is it ok to wear it for a little while and wash it of thoroughly is it a big no no?
