Is Turf Tough On Your Legs

Is hockey a rougher sport than football?

When you take all things into account: Hockey is tougher and rougher.

Not all hockey players wear visors or face shields - players get hit in the face with pucks and sticks... They get stitched up and go back out and play.

Hockey is played on skates - even though they have good balance it is easier to knock a player down when he is on skates. As we all saw this year skates can cause very bad injuries... Richard Zednik can contest to this.

Hockey players have a stick - whether or not it is used a weapon it can cause injuries. Players get hit in the face, back of the legs, or across the wrist.

Both have hard hitting.

Hockey has (legal) fighting.

Not trying to take anything away from football but Hockey is the rougher sport.

Who would win in a fight,... a Lion or Tiger?

Spirt Animal. Your information is flat out wrong!!! You present information as though they are facts but, they are NOT!!!

The best answer for this question presents photos and information that proves you worng.

Tae kwon do vs untrained fighter?

If you are a skilled TKD practitioner and manage to get a good blow I'm pretty sure it will not go to the ground. I've heard of some idiots attacking a few strangers in my hometown (of course on racial basis) during the World Military Olympic Games... well, those strangers were some of the TKD masters competing in the Olympics. And they had absolutely no problem defending themselves...
OK, now comes my attempt to get my first 'best answer'. :)
Combat (and street fighting) is fast, brutal and deadly. It is also very unpredictable. Lets imagine a scenario. A big bad guy decides he doesn't like you on his turf breathing. He threatens, but you did not run away scared 5 minutes ago, so he decides to kick you away. Preferably in the ground. So he runs at you but you are ready to get out unharmed. You swing your powerful but fast, long range fight stopping kick... and miss the target because he just slipped and slid right into your leg.... leaving some skin on the asphalt... and all because of you. He does not know grappling/wrestling/jujutsu etc... but ground fighting it becomes.
Not likely? I agree. But still possible.
What if he miraculously manages to get a bit closer, grabs your hand firmly and falls down... Or trips you while falling? Unpredictable!

In any case... most fight I've witnessed or heard about on the street are not fights. It's just a guy with a friend trying to overwhelm you.

Rule no1. of combat: **** happens.

My dog Scout has skin irritation and bites at himself as if he has fleas?

Sounds like Scout has some serious allergies. I am sure you are frustrated, but unfortunately this is how most allergic situations progress. You need to go back to the vet and explain that the antihistamines, shampoo, etc are not effective. The vet may recommend allergy testing, but at this point I would guess that Scout is allergic to something in the enviroment that you cannot avoid. Therefore, your options may come to steroids such as Pred, which is tough on the liver or cyclosporine, which is very effective with few side effects, but is very expensive. The only other thing you might want to try is changing his food. Chicken is the most common food allergy in dogs. Might want to consider Science Diet Z/D Ultra. Talk to your vet about these options. Good Luck.
