Is Unarmed Security Training Easy

Is unarmed security training easy?

I'm 21 years old and tomorrow I'm starting my security officer training to get my SORA license for security. IT'S ONLY A 3 DAY CLASS, 8 hours for all three days. So I'm guessing that is shouldn't be that hard. Does anyone thats in this field already ,know what I'll be doing in security training? What kind of things will we learn? Will the training be hard? People that's already in the security field and has their security license please help me!!

Is security training worth it without diploma or ged?

It depends on where you want to work. States have laws pertaining to what a security officer can do or what authority they have, whether or not you need a license to become a security officer, and what training, if any, you need to become a security officer. In most cases, you must have specific training and be licensed to become an armed security officer. Employers are demanding security officers be more qualified than in the past. Look into private security and government security jobs. Security officer jobs are sometimes easy to get, and sometimes applicants are required to have many qualifications. Many security companies will provide training to their officers. However, many security companies, especially the better paying ones, often prefer applicants to have a criminal justice degree or military experience and require them to have security training. Many companies prefer applicants with military experience.

What is unarmed security guard training like?

SORA security officer training class?

Has anyone taken an SORA security officer training class? I'm looking into it but I'm just wondering exactly what is taught in the class...
Is it learning from a book and lecture and taking notes or is the class more physically active?
Anyone who can be as detailed as possible that would be awesome... thanks in advance

How hard is it to become an unarmed security guard as an overqualified university graduate?

It could be easy or tough depending on your mindset, perception, and current skills. You must also be comfortable with its job activities, job conditions,  and work needs. The only issue you might have is complicating given concepts, procedures, situations, and solutions. Personally, take it up if you are an introvert with conventional as one of your job interests.

Are security guard classes hard or easy?

I'm taking a 24 hour class for my security guard license. The classes are only for 3 days and then I take the test to see if I can get my security license. Has anyone taken classes to become a security officer? Is it hard or easy? Please help me and give me details on how your experience went. Thanks

What skills are needed in order to be an unarmed security guard?

patience, a 5 day course that is mandatory and a really easy test. It's not that hard at all, straight common sense. Look up security guard courses on google or local newspapers. Just make sure the course doesn't cost more than $300. It's just a moneymaker for businesses. Places you go to get these will look dismal and shady, don't worry, but make sure you get a receipt and class dates. You'll also then need to apply for your security license by filling out a form and submitting passport photos. Get this stuff right or you'll get it back. Process to apply will take 30 days.

Which branch of the US armed forces has the easiest basic training?

Hello "pop..."

Well, I am sorry to say that you won't be able to join the military because you refuse to abide by the rules and regulations before you even start.

All basic training everyone has to get up at early hours and run for 1.5 or more miles. You have to do close to 50 push ups and 50 sit ups in 2 minutes time. You will be marching a lot during the day. No. They don't bring buses to take you all around the base. You march to and from.

You will be cleaning your barracks rooms, making tight beds, folding clothing like they tell you to fold. You will be shining shoes. You will be cleaning toilets, sinks, etc. You will be going to sleep when they tell you to. You will work 7 days a week in basic training. If you don't want to go to church you will stay in the barracks and clean it.

You don't get to make but 1 phone call for 5 minutes to tell your mother you arrived. You don't get to use cell phones. You don't get to play video games. No computers.

Yes, they will scream at you all day long. You need this to be able to learn to focus on the upcoming 4 - 6 months of technical school after basic training where you will be in class for 6 hours a day.

If you can not do basic training you will not be able to do technical school or have the military discipline to even fix airplanes.

No. With your attitude you display now I would not assign you to any airplane where the life of the pilot and $40 + million dollars worth of equipment is in your hands to keep working.

No. You are not military orientated and should not join.

We have people standing in line for up to 8 months ready and willing to take your place. Just back off and find a civilian laid back job to be lazy at.

You and the military won't work. You will surely mouth off to someone who outranks you (and everybody does) and you will end up being kicked out before the military invests more money on your.

Best wishes in your civilian job.

How to become a security guard?

Wow this is funny because I am a Security Guard in Nashville. In order to work Security you have to get a Security License from the Department of Commerce and Insurance.

To become a Security Guard in Tennessee you have to:

1) Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed and 21 years of age for armed

2) Pass a background test and not be drug and alcohol dependent ( A trainer once told me if you have had 2 DUI's in the past 5 years then they will see you as alcohol dependent) No Felony's a misdemeanor might be ok

3) Take a 4 hour course for unarmed and pass a writing exam with at lease a 70% or higher/ Pass a 4 hour course writing exam with at least a 70% and pass an 8 hour shooting course and exam with at least a 70%

Ok the easiest way to become a security guard is to get hired by a security company the reason being is that they take care of all of your training and paperwork and you do not have to worry about messing up. Some big companies around here is Walden Security, Allied Barton Security, Securitas Security. There are also smaller companies like Arc Angel Security and Dynamic Security. I work for Walden and they are pretty good

If you want to do it all on your own look into Gun and Leather they usually do the courses also a big company is A.P.P.S a lot of people want APPS train guards so defiantly look into them if you want to do it by yourself.
