Is Weed And Hemp The Same Thing

Is Hemp and weed like the same thing? "Hemphogs"?

No, hemp and marijuana are not the same thing, at all.
The only thing that they have in common is that the plant looks the same, and hemp contains some of the same cannabinoids.

Hemp contains a very low amount of delta 9- tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active chemical in marijuana that gets you high.
To feel the effects of smoking one joint of dank, you would have to smoke two acres of hemp, which you would probably pass out from the carbonmonoxide from the smoke long before you caught a buzz.

Hemp is actually a very nutritious plant, containing almost the highest protein levels of plants/seeds/nuts (even passing soy). It also contains some levels of omega-6, and various other vitamins and minerals.

Is Hemp the same thing as marijuana?

No.

Hemp is the strongest vegetable fiber on the planet. Hemp is a highly evolved plant species and is not genetically engineered. Hemp is heat, mildew, pest, light, and rot resistant. Hemp's long, smooth, hollow fibers make hemp very strong, durable and mold and mildew resistant, but it is not marijuana.

Is hemp the same thing as marijuana?

Marijuana plants and hemp plants have different appearances and are harvested differently. Marijuana plants tend to be short and bushy, while hemp plants can have stalks that are 25 feet high!

Unlike marijuana, hemp has many uses. Over 25,000 products can be manufactured from hemp, including hair conditioner, diapers, insulation, carpets, paper, and perfume.

The hemp debate and the marijuana debate are often confused with each other. Proponents of legalizing hemp cultivation focus on the plant's many uses and the fact that it requires no pesticides in order to flourish. However, opponents express concern that permitting hemp cultivation would result in the legalization of marijuana cultivation because both hemp and marijuana come from the same plant.1 Opponents also say that other raw materials are more economical than industrial hemp. Cultivating hemp is currently illegal in the United States, although hemp items are imported.

Marijuana, on the other hand, is illegal because of its health risks. Proponents of legalizing marijuana point to recent studies that show that there may be some medical* benefits associated with marijuana use. But, any benefits of legalizing marijuana—medical or otherwise—have to be weighed against the disadvantages, such as the intoxicating effects of and serious health risks posed by marijuana.

During debates about the legal status of marijuana, the environmental and economic benefits of hemp may be used in arguments for the legalization of marijuana. But, remember that hemp and marijuana are not the same thing, and the risk factor for marijuana legalization is much higher.

Is hemp the same thing as marijuana?

Hemp is made from a male marijuana plant. Only female plants produce THC and other chemicals with psychoactive properties.

In other words, you will be fine. You would be fine rubbing marijuana all over yourself as well as long as you don't ingest it or inhale it.

Are weed, cannabis and marijuana the same thing?

weed is slang for marijuana, cannabis is the genus of plants that marijuana comes from (cannibis sativa, cannabis indica and cannabis ruderalis are 3 species of cannabis plants); marijuana is the dried buds and leaves of the plants. Haze, silver haze, purple haze, G13, etc. are all varieties of the plants, they're not specific species but different variations or "strains" of them, like how asians, blacks, whites, hispanics are simply variations of the human species

Marijuana is a made up perjorative term pointed in the 1930s but congress..it was intentionally made to sound Hispanic. Congress spelled it marihuana, however. Can we please quit using this old term? The plant itself is cannabis.Weed, pot, herb, flower, joint, ganja, kerf—- ad nauseous. Are just nicknames. Different countries have different names.Cannabis is the plant. But, like the rose, by any other name it still smells as sweet.EDIT: Clarification edit..there is no difference between ‘Medical Marijuana” and plain old regular cannabis.

Yes and no.Cannabis is the plant. Marijuana was a made up word that was created in order to demonize a certain segment of the US population for reasons of control.Compounds found in weed are called cannabinoids instead of marijuanainoids for a reason. Their derivative is that of cannabis, all other slang are a bastardization, usually for political agendas.TL;DR: yes they are the same but not when you break down the etymology of said words.

“Is marijuana or weed or ganja same thing and as they are natural herb, are they safe in a limited intake?”Like David Amos' answer to Is marijuana or weed or ganja same thing and as they are natural herb, are they safe in a limited intake? said, I agree with all that, but wanted to add and clarify a couple of things.“Is marijuana or weed or ganja same thing and as they are natural herb, are they safe in a limited intake?”Cannabis isn’t an herb** Sorry! my apologies, apparently it is considered an herb as well, but, more importantly, not all natural substances are safe to take in limited intake, natural substances can dangerous to take in any amount.

Is dope and marijuana the same thing?

Weed, pot, marijuana, ganja, grass, green, mary jane, bomb, dank, cannibus, ect ect ect. Its all the same.
Hash is a little different but it's still marijuana.

Essentially yes, but not entirely.Wax, shatter, crumble and budder are just different consistency of cannabis concentrate. Generally they are made through a butane extraction and the only real difference between them is the moisture content, which in turn results in varying consistencies. Many people ingest concentrate with a “dab rig” which uses just a “dab” of concentrate. For this reason all forms of concentrate (including many not listed here) became known simply as “dabs.”Other forms of concentrate like rosin and live resin, are not typically called “wax.” That moniker is usually reserved for concentrates made from dried buds using butane or CO2. However, all forms of concentrates can be referred to with the less specific term “dabs.” Generally, people “take dabs” which means that only the specific dollop they are using to get high is called the “dab,” but people have also come to use the term to mean concentrate itself. “Got any dabs?” is a legitimate question. “Pass me the dabs” is still acceptable but a better alternative would be “Pass me the [wax, shatter, crumble, rosin, live resin, etc].”“Dude, I took so many dabs of dabs last night” is clearly bad form. This illustrates that the two terms are not entirely interchangeable. You can take “dabs of wax” or “dabs of rosin” or even just take “dabs” but the term “dabs” is too generalized to convey the right meaning in the phrase “dabs of dabs.”I hope this helps.
