Is Windows 8.1 Any Better

Which is better windows 7 or windows 8?

Rule of thumb for Microsoft... every other operating system they make is bad.

Example:
Windows 98 - good
Windows 2000 - eh
Windows XP - excellent
Windows Vista - horrible
Windows 7 - great
Windows 8 - amazingly horrible

Its a trend that they have unfortunately developed. Windows 8 is 'okay' for basic users that just check facebook and email, and do nothing else on the computer. But for students, businesses, gamers, etc Windows 8 is a nightmare. Its not fully developed and its full of bugs and glitches. I'd say its another year or two before it'll work smoother. Windows 7 has been out for quite some time now and most of the kinks have been worked out. It works well for almost everyone, and most colleges, and many businesses have now upgraded to Windows 7. Almost all software programs are Windows 7 compatible. For Windows 8, not so much.

Hope this clears things up.

Is Windows 8.1 better than Windows 7?

I currently run Windows 7 on my laptop with an Intel Core-i5 processor and 8 gig RAM. I would like to upgrade to Windows 8.1. Do you think it is a good idea? Would it improve my computer's performance?

Is windows 10 is better than windows 8 or windows 8.1?

In my view, it’s a 50–50 chance. There are some Advantages when we Upgrade to Windows 10. As well as there are many bugs, errors in Windows 10. So, in my view, if you are ready to take any risk of driver failures, audio and video issues, then go for it.But, if you are not pretty sure to have all those problems, just be satisfied with what you have now. I think Windows 8.1 is not at all that bad to leave it away.Windows 8.1 is stable, while Windows 10 is still unstable. If you want to use Windows 10 so badly, please use an Windows 10.iso file to boot it into system. Because, if you just upgrade to Windows 10, then you might face serious issues. So, please use a bootable drive to install Windows 10, if and only if you need it badly as date of Free Upgrade of Windows 10 also going to end. That’s my sincere advice. Don’t offend me for being myself. And please stay tuned for future updates@ Chaitanya Vankadaru .For any other Assistance/Help -

Which is the better OS: Windows 8 or Windows 7?

FINAL ANSWER:  Still Windows 7I prefer 7. But 8.1 is also okay.Honestly, during recent days I feel like my favorite is Windows 10. Then something happens... I come to myself.Windows 7 is uncomparable. I have installed more than 10 security products. Many many other software. 100's... It is so good. Windows 8.1, not that much. Ok if you are planning to be a decent user. But if you are going to go wild with you OS, Windows 7 is the way to go.

Which is the better OS, Windows 7 or Windows 8.1? Why is it better?

This isn’t answering your question exactly but why would you choose Windows 8.1 over Windows 10?Windows 10 is a redesign of Windows 8 to make it work with PCs, as it should have to start with. Why they thought that everyone should have a Touch Screen interface on a desktop computer is beyond me.It will look a lot more familiar to a Windows 7 user, and it works better than Windows 8 or 8.1.I’ve beta tested new Windows releases starting with Windows 7 and Windows 8 was just plain a mistake. The testers all said as much when we were testing it but no one payed any attention.Once it was released the public let Microsoft know what they thought.PC sales actually went down because no one wanted to buy a new PC with Windows 8 on it.As a result we were testing Windows 10 not long after Windows 8.1.Microsoft were a lot more open to suggestions from testers during the development of Windows 10, which went through many versions during testing and the end result was a big improvement.

Which is better in terms of security, Windows 10 or 8.1?

The Windows 10 has better security than Windows 8.1, which is obvious, newer products offers new features, and enhanced old features. But, keep this in mind clear that there is no such thing as “100% secure”Neither Linux nor Windows is completely secure. People just see one side of a coin, which is that Windows OS is more attacked by the Malwares, and ransomwares. But, the other side is “User base”, Windows OS user base is much larger than Linux. So, think, hackers target those people where there is less possibility to get profit (in Linux case), or they go with those people where they’ve large possibilities of getting profits (Windows case).Hope you got it!Hope this helps :)Thanks for asking!!
