Windows 7 or 8 for gaming?
I know this question is asked a lot but none of the answers seemed to give complete reasoning about which one to choose. I'm buying a new laptop for gaming (I already have a desktop for gaming I just want something more mobile) and I have a choice of windows 7 or windiws 8. Both are free with the purchase of the computer and are 64 bit. Also the screen on the laptop is not touch screen (I heard windows 8 was disigned for touch screen devises). So my questions are: will there be games I can get on windows 7 and not windows 8? Is windows 8 buggier than windows 7? Will there be a point when everything can run in windiws 8? And is there any big advantages windows 8 has over windows 7? If you have windows 8 on one of your gaming computers please let me know how your experiences are with it. All help is appreciated and I will chose best answer. Thank you in advance.

Is windows 10 good for gaming?
Windows 10 is excellent for gaming, because it's essentially the only good option for PC gaming. Something like 98% of PC games (don't quote me on that, just a guess) run on Windows, and many of them are exclusive to Windows. Windows 8 wasn't very gamer-friendly, Windows 7 doesn't support DirectX 12, and anything older than that is unsupported, leaving Windows 10 the last man standing.But what a man it is! Ignore the others. If you have a good GPU then consider DX 12. If not, dont bother. 10 offers latest OS support where the older ones have been dropped. 8 uses the most resources. If you have a good system, it doesnt really matter which you pick.

Anyone would expect me to say that windows 7 is best for gaming as it is the stablest one but my viewpoint in this aspect differs from others.Simple, the latest windows O.S will support the latest features and functionality whether it is in terms of software required for running games or whether it is game optimization support the latest version of windows O.S would be crafted to match with the current gaming world.If you are asking in terms of stability then also I would consult you to use Windows 10 as I have tested it practically there arise only rare situations when your game crashes or stops working while running.Surely go for windows 10 you will never regret.

I don't know what the hell are other trying to say ! I mean there is not a single answer about graphic performance here, come on guys don't you think that graphics are more important than RAM, however RAM is also an essential hardware to run games, but you can't play far cry 4 or GTA V on a computer without graphic card even if the system is holding 8 GB of RAM.And yes DirectX still make a difference as all the graphic processing is handled by it. But it is not the actual factor to run games.Version of window doesn't make that much difference if your PC has enough Graphic power, even a high end game doesn't chew up more than 4 GB of RAM. you can use window 8 as it has the latest version of DirectX, buy a good Graphic card, any from Nvidia Titan or Geforce, or go for AMD radeon R9. And you don't need to worry about Operating system, Both are best on there own.Forget what others say, without a good graphic card, nothing gonna work.

All three versions of windows are equally good for gaming. your gaming experience actually depends on your pc specs like RAM, graphic card , processor , etcetra. so a high performance pc with windows 7 will obviously beat a low performance pc with windows 10.but, there is a twist. windows 8 and 10 has a game store which is not available in windows 7. so if you also want to check out windows store games, you should go for windows8/10.sorry, the images are not clear, but you can checkout them on google.now you can choose any windows version. its all upto you.let me know, what did you choose.
