Is Xmen Days Of Future Past Playing In Imax In California

In the theater, when does the actual movie start? If the published showtime is at 7:30, how long will it be until the trailers are over and actual movie begins?

It varies. The answer you’d get from 99% of people that work at the theater would be “10 - 15 minutes of previews”.At my theater there will be extra content and everything about 30 minutes before, so if the show starts at 7:30, it will start at 7.Then just about 7:29 it will cut to a public service announcement telling you to leave your cell phones alone for a couple hours. Which you really should. At just about 7:30 a short, maybe 30 second intro from that specific chain of theaters starts. It’s Regal Cinemas, they have a roller coaster intro. Then the previews start immediately after that. I’m surprised with myself that I’ve been to the movies literally hundreds of times over the past few years and still don’t know the exact time previews play for, partially because it does change slightly (by a minute or 2 probably). Then the movie starts.Personally, if a movie is showing at 7:30 I’ll show up at 7:10 (7 is a busy time, lots of lines). To make sure I get a ticket on time, and go to concessions (another line) and get my sweet tea and buncha crunch (or M n M’s if it strikes me), then I’m normally a few minutes ahead of schedule by that time which usually gives me a better chance of getting the seat I want.To the right of this seat————————————————————————————-^3rd row after the break, furthest from the door. Don’t ask me why. It’s just mine.Bonus fact… A lot of sites, and sometimes the theaters themselves will show the run times of the movies (ex. 133 mins.). That includes the 5 minutes or so of credits after. So if you’re planning for something after the movie you can shave 5 whole minutes or so off the amount of time you thought you’d be spending there!

Why is the new X-Men cast worse than the old?

Whoa dude bias opinion that I totally agree with but nevertheless I can easily answer this question and say because the old ones were familiar, great actresses/actors, and weren’t newbies to their roles; I mean it isn’t fair to compareto the likes ofWhy because one is a great actor and will be recognize but the majority of the viewers that come see him in whatever film he plays and the other had one big film he is known to play X Men Apocalypse and people probably watched the film saying he can act but who the hell is he; he is the rookie in the acting game so maybe he wasn’t as convincing as Ian Mckellen was playing Magento. I mean it seemed like the director Bryan Singer wanted the very DAMN best when picking the cast for X Men, like he didn’t want any other actors but the #1 (with the exception of Hallie’s Storm) while Matthew Vaughn wanted great actors/actresses but didn’t care if they were the #1 but convincing or he would be like me if I was director be a director hopefully known for being the first director to allow a great unknown actor/actress shine in one of my films.I mean seriously you should be able to tell if the film was going to be better by the actors/actressesplus just because an actor/actress is not as famous doesn’t mean they can’t be a favorite on the screen, I mean I didn’t know who McKellen was until I looked his name up and was like Oh Shit that is Magneto from X Men my favorite character! They had better and more widely know actors/actresses nothing more nothing less.

How long does it take to render a Pixar film?

According to this article on VentureBeat:“Even with all of that computing might, it still takes 29 hours to render a single frame of Monsters University, according to supervising technical director Sanjay Bakshi.”At 24 frames per second and with a movie length of 1h44m we have 149,760 frames to render. This would take 4,343,040 hours, or 495.78 years, which is nonsensical, so I believe the 29 hours per frame number isn’t accurate for their supercomputers. If this meant 29 hours of CPU time, then with their 24,000 cores it would take 7.54 days. The article does go on to say:“All told, it has taken more than 100 million CPU hours to render the film in its final form. If you used one CPU to do the job, it would have taken about 10,000 years to finish. With all of those CPUs that Pixar did have, it took a couple of years to render.”Gizmodo also wrote an article on rendering Cars 2.

Why don't IMAX Dome theaters show Box Office movies?

It would certainly be even a step up from a regular IMAX theater, and people would pay a premium for the experience. It would be nice if there were more IMAX Dome theaters -- right now, I'd have to drive 4 hours to get to one, but there's no reason to go -- all they're showing is documentary crap. I would actually go to see a blockbuster movie. They could really start building more of them if they had the revenue to support the effort -- revenue they could get by offering blockbuster movies.
