There are some atheists who gather and have some policy ideas that they’d like to implement. There’s the American Atheists and there’s the TV (more YouTube) series called The Atheist Experience. But those are individual groups of atheists. They don’t represent “atheism” any more than a Lutheran pastor represents all of Christianity or an Imam represents all of Islam.So the answer is: they don’t. You’re wrong. But all the anger you see from the left is, well, unearned.Look. I’m an atheist. I have possibly one of the nicest lives imaginable since I left religion. I try really hard to remember that there are a lot of great people who love their faith and get a lot of joy and salience from it. So I try to respect that fact. But in my life, the greatest bump in contentment came when I finally realized that religion was, well, rubbish and that I am better without it.
