Where does ISIS get their weapons?
A lot of their military equipment was stolen from the Iraqi security force which was all funded by the US. The US also gave weapons to groups in Syria opposing Bashar Al-Assad. A lot of these groups merged or were taken over by ISIS. They are also funded by the Saudis (not confirmed but we all know it).

Never. Obama’s only goal was to oust Assad. Google ‘Timber Sycamore’ and ‘train and equip’. We, the U.S. funded, armed and trained ‘moderate’ Sunni rebels to fight Syrian forces. The problem was…these ‘moderate’ rebels were full blown terrorists. They turned against the U.S. troops that trained them and actually chased them across the Turkish border in fear of their lives. When Trump ended the program…this is NO joke, only one of these rebels was still loyal to the U.S. Not only was the program a failure but it was the costliest undercover operation in the CIA’s history.

NO, Arab spring were people who wanted a Democratic say in how their country is ran. ISIS is a War Lord type situation that wants to dominate large regions and subjugate the people to their will. The people are being murdered if they mention Democratic values. The turmoil of the Arab Spring gave ISIS the opportunity to seize territory. The military forces of the countries ISIS seized were non-functional due to part of the military being on the side of the Existing Government and part on the side of the Arab Spring movements. While they were divided, ISIS popped up and started capturing and murdering segments of the military until they are now all gone.
