I can’t and wouldn’t try to answer for the valiant US Navy Seals, but I will relate one anecdotal air force story that may help explain the principle. In the 1990’s I was commander of the USAF Academy Flying Training program where we taught about 80 % of the cadets to free-fall parachute. Congress was always asking why we ‘spent money training so many cadets a skill that few would ever use?’ given the fact that over half of the graduates would not fly and less than 5% of those that did would ever eject or bailout of an airplane. The answer I told them came from the cadets themselves during their first 2 or 3 jumps — They were so scared they remembered nothing of the experience and only did what had been instinctively drilled into them during their training. In so doing, they learned to believe in their training, their leadership, their equipment, their service and themselves which extended later into combat itself. I can’t tell you the number of letters I received 5, 10, 15 years later how graduates related handling combat stress to jumping out of that airplane the first time — sort of an Outward Bound sort of experience if you are familiar with that program. Graduate studies over the years showed the parachuting training as the highest valued Academy instruction cadets received during their four years there regardless of their job, their rank, their race, their sex or any other demographic you choose. That’s no doubt what Navy Seal (and Army Ranger) “sinking to the level of your training” is all about.
Why does YAHOO censor comments posted on news stories?
It is becoming painfully obvious that YAHOO is censoring the comments posted on its news stories. The most egregious example was a recent story about the NAVY SEALS who were acquitted for allegedly beating an Iraqi detainee. Most commentators agreed with the verdict, but there were a few dissenters. Since YAHOO lists the comments on a first-come-first-post basis, the page 1 comments can be easily followed. Page 1 comments on this story were about 8:1 in favor of the verdict vs. questioning it. Then something strange happened. After a few days, all comments on page 1 questioning the decision were removed. Now only comments applauding the verdict and calling the SEALS heroes remain. Regardless of how I feel about this particular case, I find it disheartening to discover that YAHOO is stifling debate. Is this a business decision (if so, it is a bad one as people are not stupid and will defect to sites where both sides of issues can be argued) or is it individual employees doing it out of some false sense of patriotism? This is happening with virtually every YAHOO news story. Go check out page 1 of the comments and see how many people are replying to comments that are no longer posted. Someone suggested that if enough people vote "thumbs down" for a comment, it will be removed. However, this does not seem to be the case, as these comments become "hidden" rather than completely erased. So what gives?

oh both should be very tough guys. likely the navy seal, because he is the only one of both being trained in combat. but i talked to peyton quinn who trained the navy seals for a long time, he said in average they are not very dangerous when it comes to hand to hand fights. so who knows? the linebacker is very likely way stronger, so he might have a good chance if no weapons are used. it definitely depends on the individual.
Acrylic varnish VS polyurethane to seal acrylic on glass?
I'd probably use a clear polyurethane like my favorite Varathane (indoor-water based, Gloss) and either brush the finish on or actually dip the whole ornament then drip-dry**. The brush-on application will give a nice thick finish but dipping will be even thicker and won't have to worry about bubbles that can result from using the wrong kind of brush or method of applying. I wouldn't use a spray myself because they often don't give a very even coating, require more coats, and still may not give as clear and glossy as shine as the plain liquids. (Normally acrylic paints won't stay on ceramic or glass or other very smooth surfaces very well, but if they're sealed *all over* or in other ways so they also create a "mechanical" hold on the ornament in addition to an adhesive hold, they should be fine. And actually acrylic paints probably wouldn't peel either if just used all over, etc., but their surfaces won't be as tough and resistant to scratching and cloudiness from later moisture as polyurethane would.) ** If the ornament is too large to dip into the can, etc., you can just pour the finish over the ornament while it's suspended (over something, then pour excess back into container), then do the same technique as with the dip method to remove the drips.

If mugshots .com or any other site is the top result for your name search, then you need to improve your online presence.Get your name (as people or employers would search it) on as many high ranking sites you can.
