What Should I Wear to My 8th Grade Graduation?
I've gotten a few really nice dresses for cheap from kmart, Burlington coat factory, and Macy's. Though I only look good in wrap dresses, or dresses that go in at the waist, they have some really cute dresses for other body shapes. I also have a larger chest for my age (I'm in 8th also) and the wrap style type of dress fits well. It would be easier to see if you had a picture up of your body.
Graduation dress help please!!! im too fat..?
My mom bought me a $400 graduation dress and I was literally SOOO excited to wear it. Our family doesn't have that much money but she knew how important graduation was to me. She saved up money for a long time and it meant a lot to me. When i tried it on a couple months ago it fit PERFECTLY and looked great. I gained some weight and now I can barely breath in it. I just tried it on for the first time in a while and I could barely zip it. My armpit fat is coming off the sides and graduation is in 8 days!!! I've been in my room crying im so ashamed and upset. We cut the tags off and it's too late to return it. I'm too scared to tell her. What should I do??

I'm graudating from 8th too! My school is doing like a day ceremont and then a night dance, and the day ceremony is like semmi fancy dresses. I got both my dresses at bluefly.com which is kinda on the expensive side, but i also looked at forever 21 and they had super super cute dresses that were at like amazing prices. I dont know what your school is having the dress code be, so i don't have any actual suggestions, but id definetly go with light colors and not too much make up cause all the parents are going to see you and you dont want to give them a bad impression. Macy's, JC penny's and i would suggest something classy. wear light colors and mayb just a little eye makeup. Cut off a pair of pants and cuff the legs a bit and you have capris. Get a nice top and go to the party. I think your friend will be upset and offended if you don't go. Get her a card and make her up a coupon that says good for 1 free homecooked dinner, 1 free housecleaning, or 1 free night out or anything like that. It is a nice gift that won't cost you and your friend will appreciate it

No, don't wear something you would wear to church. Even at Parris Island, Oct. will be cool. Most people will wear something along the lines of jeans, you can wear a dress but don't get too dressy. Just wear something you will be comfortable in. The day before graduation is family day, that is the first time he will see you and he will be able to go off base for a few hours. You might wear something pretty for that but, you still don't want to get too dressed up. Go to the Parris Island website, it won't be hard to find. You can get information there about family day and graduation day. The important thing is that you are there for your Marine and have a good time.
Should I keep my graduation gown?
I graduated in 2010 from highschool and I don't know what to do with my gown! Im making my own Halloween costume and I'm trying to make it as inexpensive as possible and the sleeves on my graduation gown would work perfect. I'm afraid my mom will be upset if I cut it up tho, my sister is graduating this year so, we'll have another! I saw a gown just like mine that someone donated to good will so they can't be too important. I'm just not sure if I'm supposed to let it gather dust in my closet or if it would be ok to slice and dice it for my costume!!! Help!

I say this not to discourage you, but to give you an idea of what to expect and to help you determine if that sacrifice is worth the investment.
