Itunes has stopped working and I can't get it to open without the error message?

Last night I was installing the new iTunes on my laptop and suddenly my laptop died while it was still downloading. When I plugged it in in the morning and tried to open iTunes it says "The procedure entry point kVTDecompressionPropertyKey_ThrottleForB... could not be located in the dynamic link library VideoToolbox.dll." I've tried uninstalling quicktime and installing it again and reinstalling itunes but nothing's working. Also, will I be able to have my music again or will it all be deleted? I have an HP with windows 7.

Itunes has stopped working? HELP!?

Deselect "Current user" option (which lists you as the current user)

Select "The following user"

Enter your exact same user information in "The following user" dialogue box (your Username and Password)

check to see if bonjour is running...
uninstall in control panel if needed
worked like a charm

ITunes won't stop "Checking for downloads"?

On the small chance that you haven't tried it, go to your podcast page and click on the "Refresh" button at the bottom right of the screen.

Suddenly iTunes has suddenly stopped seeing my iPhone. What can I do?

I had the same problem and I found this thread on Apple's website, hope it will be helpful for you: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538

My iTunes won't open?

try re-downloading it again and open it up again from http://www.apple.com/itunes/ , try and download the recent version of itunes. I think this might work, I found this information from a different website from someone who had the same problem

1. Uninstall iTunes
2. Restart computer
3. Delete "My Documents\My Music\iTunes" and Library.xml in the same folder.
4. Restart computer
5. See if "C:\Program Files\iTunes" still exist, if so, delete it.
5. Restart computer
6. Download a new version from apple, install it.
7. Problem solved.

Once you get the “Apps & Data” screen, choose the “Restore from iCloud Backup”.Note: You are supposed to sign in the same iCloud account which you used on the old phone. And this method will erase all you data stored on your new phone.Method 2.
