My sony blu ray player internet says connection status cannot be confirmed?

So I just got the blu ray Sony dvd player with built in wifi. I have it connected to a wireless network in the house, it is a guest and unprotected wireless connection. When I connect to this wireless on my ipod it connects me and then when I go to browse the internet it goes to a page for me to put in a password before I can go to any websites or use the internet. I type in a website on my blu ray browser and I just get a plain white screen. I can not use any features like netflix because it has a screen pop up and on the top it says connection status cannot be confirmed, the service cannot be accessed at this time because the server replied with incorrect or invalid information. I can not figure out how to get on it. Please help!

How do I add a home theater system to my Sony BDP-S590 blu ray player without a Receiver?

You don't. It is not practical as evidenced by all the other answers. The only way to do it with practicality is to buy a surround preamp / processor and powered speakers but such will cost far more than a surround receiver. Unless you have some kind of receiver - phobia this is not practical. You can not just plug speakers into a blu ray or DVD player, there is no magical adapter - unless you consider a receiver an adapter. Now choose a best answer.

When I operate electrical switches at my home, my LCD TV shuts off momentarily. Why?

This usually happens when the contacts of some switches 'bounce' . The switch contact does not settle down to a definite state immediately, but is loose enough to 'make' and 'break' a couple times rapidly. If there is a substantially inductive device (motor, tubelight, etc.) attached to it, it produces an overvoltage on the line. Since in domestic wiring everything is connected to one MCB for a line, i.e. all circuits of ground floor connected to one MCB, this overvoltage reflects on everything connected electrically on that line (ignore all equipment that is off). This also happens when one switches load OFF and causes a small arcing at the switch.Your TV is reacting to such momentary overvoltages, i.e. it's internal power supply is detecting the overvoltage and temporarily shutting down internal voltages to protect the set. There are 2 possible solutions:1. Connect the TV to the mains through a good surge protector ('spike buster'), as others have suggested2. Check each switch individually if operating it causes the TV to flicker. Replace the culprit switches with new ones

What's the best way to connect my Sony PS-LX250H turntable to a pair of Sony BS1000 bookshelf speakers?

You can not connect any speakers to a turntable. Turntable has to be connected to a receiver with a phono line input or to a computer using USB. It does not have any amplifier to power any speakers at all. Turntable are making a come back and the one you see at retail store are cheap and are mainly for connecting to a computer. I have look at the one you are looking at, and to me it is not worth the money. Turntables are mainly in the higher end of the audio and some for DJ use. Hope this will help you out.

Can you connect Bose Companion 2 to a TV?

Hmmmm...
Actually, the Bose companion2 and the Bose in-ear headphones are the 2 products from them that actually sounds decent for the price.
I know... Bose right, but this $100 pair of speakers does a good job: for the cost.
It's not the best $100 spent, but it does not have the plagued overboosted bass and trebble of their more expensive systems.
Same with the Bose IE headphones... They do not have overly boosted bass, and actually have a warm sound: odd.

But anyways, just connect them via an RCA l/r to headphone jack.. Done... Enjoy: you don't have to listen to the Bose-Bose stuff... You already have it so yah, just hook it up, aNd enjoy- it will sound better than the tv speakers!
Good luck:
I'd upgrade to a different brand later tho:)

Where to plug in subwoofer to my Sony TA-AV521 Receiver?

You don't. A couple things first: The Sony TA-AV521is not a receiver. It is an integrated amplifier. From what I can tell it dates to the early '90s. That is a period when subwoofers were not common. Also, from what I can tell there is no subwoofer output. I can only find one or two pictures of the back panel which I can not enlarge and both are a bit blurry. I can not find a free user manual on line and, forgive me, but I'm not about to pay for one to answer this question. If one of those RCA sockets says sometihing like "sub," "low frequency" or "LFE" that's where you will run an RCA patch cord to an active sub. It looks like there are several inputs, CD, Video etc,. and 4 socket RCA array that looks to me like a tape loop. However there is a remote (very remote) possibility that it could be a pre-amp out / power amp in set of connectors. If so you can connect the sub to the pre-amp out. If it is a tape loop you can not, or should I say should not as there will be no volume control. Another point is that you give no model number for the subwoofer, so I can not tell it if it is a passive or active speaker. I suspect the latter and if so the above applies. If it is a passive unit you can connect it to the front, right and left speaker outputs if it has a built in low pass or crossover. If this is the case it will use the power of the integrated amp top drive it and you may have to worry about impedance problems when using it with the Bose speakers. If it has a simple low pass filter this will be the case but if it has an actual crossover with outputs for the full-range speakers you won't have to worry about impedance as the amplifier will only "see" the impedance of the crossover. But,I don't know of any Sony subs of this description unless it is either an older design or it came with an all in one unit (HTIB Home Theater In a Box) and if so it will not have the built in crossover and probably isn't worth using anyway. If it is an active sub it will have a cord to plug it into an AC wall outlet and RCA connectors for the connection to the amp. It may also have speaker level connectors and if so you can use it as described above with the left and right front speaker connectors. If that is the case it will use no power from the integrated amp and will impose no load on it. If it is a passive unit it will have either speaker wire or speaker style connectors.

Best 3d settings on a Samsung LED Smart TV 55'?

Keep in mind that to watch in 3D you will need the following: 3D HDTV, 3D blu ray disc player, 3D blu ray disc movies (at this time there are only around 190 title available and they are mainly animated movies from Disney) and 3D glasses for each person. 3D has not been a big hit due to the lack of support and high cost. I would not recommend any of those home theater in a box, they are not flexible for adding anything to them or for up grading. It is mainly designed for you to watch a movie with the built in player with surround sound. The only system I can recommend is the Onkyo HT-S3500, it is a 5.1 receiver that is flexible for connecting other device to it and a set of speakers. You can demo the unit at any Fry's Electronic and retail for under $300. You add a Panasonic blu ray disc player, under $100 and you have a nice system that is dependable. A Panasonic Plasma tv 50" and you have a nice system for around $1,000. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.
