Jack In The Box Work Makes Me Break Out Help

Does this guy at jack in the box like me .?

At work I have a shift break from3:00-5:30 I would go to jack in the box to eat lunch . There is this guy that would always take my order. After a while I stoped going for two weeks. When I came back the guy was like hey it’s you with a big big smile on his face . I ordered and when my food was ready the cook said who’s food is this . He said here’s and pointed at me.. The cook said to your crush and he said Amman why did you say that and then after he got my food farted to the back . The next day I came back with my friend and when he was taking my order he was all nervous like I heard him through his mic to the others in the back to shut up . After we got our stuff later my friend asked him do you like my friend. She asked for me and he had hesitation for a few secs then said yea she’s kinda cute like does yeah mean yes . I know this is stupid but I just want to make sure others agree with me that he likes me before I go ask him .

How to get a job promotion at Jack in the Box?

I'm a freshman in college. All in all school is my priority. I work at Jack in the box franchise restaurant and the positions are Manager, Team Leaders (basically a assistant manager) and Team Members. I worked at a corporate restaurant for a month during my winter break (where I normally live) and left to return to the town of my university. I didn't work till beginning of March at this franchise where I'm at now. My boss jist worked me here and there and I was barely making anything. As I was quitting, she started giving me hours regularly early April and I've had a regular schedule since then. I wouldn't say I'm a perfect employee but I can say I've improved and still improving. Still flaws and mishaps, but all the team leaders agreed I've improved, just the little things. A few of the experienced team members are leaving and about a couple team leaders have left/fired. A lot of trainees are coming in, so therefore I'm perhaps the most experienced team member even at about two months. I want to become a team leader. How can I go from a team member to team leader? Just wait it out until my manager decides to give me a promotion? I've asked around and the other team leaders were members for about 8+ months. I would love to earn more, have a button up shirt, and have something to put on my resume.

How is it that Jack in the Box tacos are still 2 for $0.99?

With the cost of labor they hardly break even on the taco unless they are purchased more than 2 at a time, but the item brings people through the doors that may purchase other food! Maybe some fries… maybe some churros… who knows. Also, the tacos are now $1.5 so they have adjusted slightly to keep the strategy going. The guy who said “ it costs them 3 cents” is 1. Wrong, but close and 2. Isn’t taking into account the transportation and labor cost.It is not a very profitable item, but it brings people in.

I just found out my son has dropped out of college and works at jack in the box. He still stays in his college dorm but just goes to work instead of class. What should I do?

He dropped out for a reason and it’s not because it was a life long dream of his to work at JITB. Go see him asap and find out what happened. See if you can get a partial refund from the school and if he just needs a break. See if they can give him counseling. He really can’t stay on campus if he’s not a student…Most importantly, he needs the help and support of his parents. Kids hit rough times sometimes and it’s our job to help them get back on track. There’s a lot you don’t know. Be sympathetic and get to him asap.LATE ADDITIONS in response to other answers:I don’t agree that you should say he’s an adult/grown man now and has to choose a path. That might be what the problem is, in whole or in part: that he doesn’t know what he wants to do. It may involve going back to school at some point, or it may not. And a college student is not yet a grown man; he’s still an adolescent/young person. He doesn’t have to choose now what he wants to do with his life, only what he wants to do now. He may want to go back at some point. (One of my sons is now going part time and working part time after taking time off after three semesters.)The college will not let him stay in the dorm if they find out. It’s for enrolled students. If he hasn’t formally left, he should and hopefully he can still withdraw from classes. He or he and you need to talk to the Dean ASAP.He probably cannot go back to classes because he’s fallen too far behind. Again, this is a convo w/the Dean. If he’s only missed a few, maybe this is an option, depending on what he has/hasn’t done for the classes.

How much value ($) does the average fast food worker create per hour?

Here's some info for Jack in the Box (selected because it is U.S. only and publicly traded). According to Reuters' financial information (Jack In The Box Inc (JACK.O) Financials), Jack in the Box's annual profit per employee is $4,314. The average front-line fast food worker works 24 hours/week; let's guess that most Jack in the Box workers are working about that much, and some of them work more, and use 30 hours/week average. That would be 1,560 hours worked per employee per year on average. Divide $4,314 by 1,560 and you get $2.77 profit per man-hour.  It appears, then, that Jack in the Box cannot afford to significantly raise workers' wages. Even if it were run as a non-profit, workers would only get a couple more bucks an hour. That's not nothing, but it's also not going to produce a drastic improvement in standard of living.  But remember, Jack in the Box isn't run as a non-profit. As a publicly traded company, it's run for the benefit of its shareholders. If Jack in the Box were to increase worker wages without increasing revenue, it would produce less profit, and shareholders would get less return on their investment. Shareholders tend to get peevish when that happens. They might sell their stock, driving the price down, or vote in a new board to bring back strong profits.  So just as there are market forces affecting the prices Jack in the Box can charge -- i.e., what consumers will pay for a hamburger -- and the wages it can pay -- i.e., what wages workers will accept -- there are also market forces affecting the profit Jack in the Box must make -- i.e., what return shareholders will accept.  That's not always a simple matter of squeezing out every drop of profit right this very minute, of course. Costco pays above-market wages and its stock is doing just fine. Perhaps it could pay its workers less and make even more profit, but its shareholders seem content, probably because of the perception that the company is here to stay (Why Costco Stock Keeps Rising). Alternatively, the higher-quality workforce may be an integral part of Costco's business model, and profits actually can't go any higher (Why Wal-Mart Will Never Pay Like Costco). Either way, shareholders aren't buying Costco stock out of the goodness of their hearts.
