Job Advice New Job It

New job is being too hard on me, advice please?

I just started working at Pluckers and although it is fun to work there because you get to interact with multiple people my first week and a half has been horibble.

It started out good first day and when I started training it got worse. They give us a workbook for whenever we're training so the trainer can write down our progress. I didn't think they'd be so strict about it.

One day on training I forgot to bring it, it was my mistake and they said they'll have to send me home if I don't get it somehow, luckily my mom was on her was home so she brought it. On another training day I forgot again(I know that's bad.) I'm not irresponsible I'm just so focused on being on time because my last job I had a problem with time management. Anyways since I forgot it the second time they wrote me up twice, and sent me home.

I've only worked there a week and a half and I've never worked in a restaurant before and they really expect me to be a pro at it. They critized how I'm basically not doing anything right but it's going to take me a while to get use to it and they don't undestand that.

Should I quit or just suck it up and keep trying?

I hate my new PCA job and need advice?

I've recently started a new PCA type job. (I work in a group home. My title is not PCA, but my role is similar.) I've been at the home for about a month--working part time--and i think i have decided that this is not something that I will every enjoy or be good at. I dread going to work. I am nervous and anxious all of the time. Even if i am just doing simple tasks. (there is one resident in particular that makes me extremely uncomfortable.) I just really don't think this is something I want to continue doing for any period of time. I am not a people person- this was supposed to be a temporary job, and i don't know what i though i would be doing. i guess i just didn't imagine it being so "medical". I never wanted to go into the medical field. I think if I stay I would be a burden to the other staff, because i pretty much completely shut down at the thought of having to work with that specific, perviously mentioned resident, and it wouldn't be good for the people i am taking care of, because i would dread being there, and they deseve someone who wants to help them and be around them. I just don't really know what to do. I know in my mind that i have already decided that I can't stay at this specific house. I just don't know how/ who to tell. I have never quit a job before... and i have already done so much training and what not...I don't want to let anyone at the house/company down, but I KNOW that this is not the place for me.

Advice?

I want to quit my new job :( advice?

So, I got hired at a cinema about a week or 2 ago. I thought it was going to be a nice, fun job. I applied for Film Crew which i thought I was going to be working with the projectors and sound equipment. Which is why I thought it would be a good job for me since i'm not a people person at all.
I've only had 2 days of training. One was for Usher and the other one was for Box Office. I loved Usher. It was so laid-back and i didn't have to deal with people at all. Just clean, be by myself and do my own thing. Yesterday though, I trained in the box office and hated it!
1: I can't stand in the same place for a long time! I always have to be moving or I just feel..idk. I just have to be moving or doing something.
2: I really hate dealing with people. I just hate it. It drains all the energy out of me and I always end up getting depressed. Just talking to a lot of people for long periods of time makes me so anxious, sad..and I just can't do it. Plus, i am so socially awkward! I am also shy and quiet and interacting with people just stresses me out :'(

I am starting a new job soon. Do you have any advice?

Here’s a tip that my mentor told me a few years ago before I started my most recent role and it CHANGED. MY. LIFE.I report to the CEO of the company I work at and he is incredibly busy and pretty hands-off of my work. So when I was starting my new role I decided to try this tip to impress him right off the bat. Here is what my mentor said: Bosses are busy. Busy people like to react, not create.REACT. Not CREATE.What do MOST of us do when we see our boss is super busy and stressed? We ask: How can I help? That’s mighty fine. But what SHOULD we do?Find ways to contribute and give them something to REACT to.The tip is to create a “reaction document”. Which is a fancy way of saying a rough draft of ideas for a person to react to.The crazy thing is, even if what you come up with is wrong, and they want the complete opposite of what you came up with, that is still excellent progress. Because many busy leaders don't know exactly what they want until they have something to react to.Imagine if I told you to describe your perfect house. You’d have a lot going on in your, noggin may not know where to start. But then I put photos of 4 different houses in front of you and asked you which one you liked the best. You’d probably say, “Well this one I like the best overall because of the windows and ceilings, but this other one has the best yard because I love trees and don’t want a pool.”And suddenly our conversation of designing the perfect house made tremendous leaps and bounds forward because I gave you something to simply react to.Probably none of those 4 houses I presented to you in the reaction document are you dream house but it got us much closer.Warning! DO NOT: put lots of research and time into a project before your boss reacts. That is a huge waste of time because they may hate it. I’m talking directly to you perfectionists out there. Get comfortable sharing documents before they are far from perfect. Now, you’re probably asking, what does a real-world reaction document look like? Well a reaction document can take many different forms, but it can feel daunting if you’ve never made one. Check out this video where I walk through an example reaction document. This has become a way of life for me…all thanks to that mentor! Wishing you the best!

Pregnant starting new job as RN - advice needed!?

Those 12 hour shifts take a toll on women who aren't pregnant. They can be even worse if they are the night shifts! I would wait and let your body get used to the long hours first. Throwing 2 stresses at it at the same time is going to really do a number on it! Wait until you've developed a good routine and are comfortable with the long hours. This way you will be under the least amount of stress possible and you wont have to worry about risking a miscarraige or something like that. I promise, it would be even worse to throw a miscarraige into the mix of all of that!

You've put many long hours into becomming a nurse so enjoy it for a little while. I'm sure that you will be so busy and excited about starting your carreer that the baby will go off of your mind for a little while come July.

Good luck when you do start TTC!

Extremely nervous about new job...advice?

I'm starting a new job at Pizza Hut in two days, as a delivery driver. I'm 20 and trying to work my way through college. The only other job I've had was a janitor job where I worked alone. I'm so nervous to start I almost don't want to anymore. I have anxiety and suffer from panic attacks. I'm nervous to have to quickly make change, that I'll screw up orders, won't be able to find the place I'm supposed to be delivering to.. I don't know what to do I'm so nervous and scared. I know its just a Pizza Hut job but my anxiety is ridiculous and I'm afraid I'll mess up my first day and won't be able to handle it.

Any advice? Anyone ever worked as a delivery driver?

I start my first job tomorrow. Any advice?

Don't be late, dress appropriately, and most importantly have a positive attitude about yourself. New jobs can be intimidating, dear, but please remember that even the CEO had to start somewhere. Patience and hard work is the key to success, and I know you'll be great!!!!!
