Job Work Advice Needed Pls

Need job advice!!!!?

My husband has been working for a man remodeling mobile homes for his mobile home park. He found the job in the newspaper and it stated he needed basic tools. He had all items needed to remodel homes such as hammers, squares, drills, saws, etc. However, the owner now has decided he would make a very long list (37 items) of tools that my husband. Some are far from "basic" like Sledge Hammers, wood chisel, broom and dust pan, metric meters (my husband is not an electrician), crescent wrenches and pipe wrenches (my husband is not a plumber). He is a carpenter and that is what he applied for. It would cost about $2500 to buy all the items on the list he does not have. We can't afford it, and he wants him to sign a contract agreeing to have the items. If he doesn't he will deduct his pay by $2.00 an hour! Is this legal? Can he be fired and his pay legally cut if he doesn't sign it. The items are far from the basic tools he agreed to (he has worked for there for 6 months)

Help!! I need advice, help, please?

I work at a small restaurant in my town, Iam 16 years old and work from 3:00 pm to 8:oo pm after school. My employer is paying me under the table and I was wondering it that's legal. This is my first job and I've never dealt with the process. Ive received one paycheck so far and it was for 23.75 hours at minimum wage which she pays me at 6.80 an hour. On my "paycheck" which by the way isn't an official paycheck because she just wrote down the info on a piece of paper says that the gross is 161.50, the Fit is 14.99 which by the way what is that? The SS which I can only assume its the social security is 16.21 and the Med,(what is that) 3.79, which in the end I received 126.51 dollars and I worked for 23.75 hrs. so she says, I dnt keep records.......Ive started to though, because I suspect she is ripping me off, and I dnt know what to do.....have I mentioned I never filled out an application and she has no information on me nor my social security and where is all this cash that she is deducting from my paycheck going? I dnt know what to do or how to word my worries. Please can someone fill me in so I can know whats the deal here

ps, she is an intimidating woman(boss lady)

I need advice! Please Help?

I already work at a part time job and I'm looking for another part time job...so I had an interview last week for a part time job and I'm suppose to hear back tomorrow (Rainbow Foods). I had an interview today and I'm suppose to hear back next Friday (County Market). WELL...I got a call today for a full time job and I have an interview for that next Wednesday. I am really hoping for the full time job because then I only need one job and not two. What do I say to Rainbow Foods if they call back offering me the job tomorrow since I really want the full time job that I have an interview for next Wednesday?

Pregnant starting new job as RN - advice needed!?

Those 12 hour shifts take a toll on women who aren't pregnant. They can be even worse if they are the night shifts! I would wait and let your body get used to the long hours first. Throwing 2 stresses at it at the same time is going to really do a number on it! Wait until you've developed a good routine and are comfortable with the long hours. This way you will be under the least amount of stress possible and you wont have to worry about risking a miscarraige or something like that. I promise, it would be even worse to throw a miscarraige into the mix of all of that!

You've put many long hours into becomming a nurse so enjoy it for a little while. I'm sure that you will be so busy and excited about starting your carreer that the baby will go off of your mind for a little while come July.

Good luck when you do start TTC!

New job is being too hard on me, advice please?

I just started working at Pluckers and although it is fun to work there because you get to interact with multiple people my first week and a half has been horibble.

It started out good first day and when I started training it got worse. They give us a workbook for whenever we're training so the trainer can write down our progress. I didn't think they'd be so strict about it.

One day on training I forgot to bring it, it was my mistake and they said they'll have to send me home if I don't get it somehow, luckily my mom was on her was home so she brought it. On another training day I forgot again(I know that's bad.) I'm not irresponsible I'm just so focused on being on time because my last job I had a problem with time management. Anyways since I forgot it the second time they wrote me up twice, and sent me home.

I've only worked there a week and a half and I've never worked in a restaurant before and they really expect me to be a pro at it. They critized how I'm basically not doing anything right but it's going to take me a while to get use to it and they don't undestand that.

Should I quit or just suck it up and keep trying?

Please answer this i need advice?

Job at Harris Teeter?

I went through the phone interview, computer, drug test part. Then i was waiting for them to call and tell me i passed the drug test part and when to come in for training. After 2 days with no call i went in to ask because i knew i passed the drug test i don't do anything. They said oh yeah we forgot to call you your on the sched already. Well i had been thinking that since it was my last summer without having to work that i didn't want to. They made me mad by not calling me so i told them i didn't want to work this summer.

I am thinking about apply at a different Harris Teeter now. Do i put yes for previously employeed at a Harris Teeter? Will it affect whether or not i get the job?

Thanks!

My work won’t give me time off advice please?

In my job our holidays have changed. We were told we can’t book in holidays for any further than 4 months in advance due to too many people taking holidays at the end of the year. I asked my boss if I could book holidays in for August as I’m going away then and they said I couldn’t do it that far in advance. I work in a team and I found out today a woman in my team has already booked holidays in for the same week in August that I’m away to Tenerife. She said to me that I’ll have to cancel my holiday as work won’t let us both go at the same time because we are in the same team and that would leave 4 out of 6 people in our team. She’s demanding that I cancel my holiday because she’s already booked hers in and is away to America for her 60th birthday. I have gave my work plenty of notice, do they have the right to deny me a weeks holiday in August. I go away on the 19th - 28th and this woman goes away on the 24th should this be an issue?? I’ve heard of people in my work having to cancel holidays in the past due to this. Do I have any rights??
