Jobs After Highschool

Why is it so hard to get a job after high school?

I've graduated high school last year in 2008 and it's almost 2010 and I still don't have a job. I've applied everywhere within a 5 mile radius, which include: Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, BestBuy, Toy's-R-Us, Home Depot, Lowe's, Giant Food, Rite-Aid, Walgreen's, Hollywood Video, Rose's, and at all places; i applied for casier/customer service associate, a simple entry-level job, and for some reason, i can't get a job working as a cashier. i have no job experience; i have never had a job before, i have great skills in computers; but i wanna start with a small job so i can get my life started. i got mostly A's and B's in high school, i have no criminal record, and i've never done drugs in my life. i have no idea why i keep getting turned down from all these employers for no reason, and i can't build up a good resume if i don't get a job. Can anyone help me, please?

Can I get a good job out of high school with a CCNA and an A+ certification?

Hi,If you are looking a job as a fresher, than it would be a challenge to get a job initially, but keep looking for !!Why its a challenge to get a networking job ?Networking devices are very costly and they want experienced candidates to look into the issues of networks, as all business are rely on networks.Just go directly with CCNA training & Further Certifications after that.A+ & CCNA doesn't have too much relation between them. For a better future do CCNA + CCNP + Learn SDN + Network Programming !!RegardsAtul SharmaNetwork Kings

Is life over after high school?

I only in 10th grade, but I am so afraid for after high school. I don't want to graduate. I want to be the age I am forever.
I feel that after high school, you don't have friends to hang out with, you cant do the same things, you have to go get a job, you can to college (seems so lonely). Your treated different (like an adult).
Then all you do after that is grow older and older.

My mom wants me to start driving and find a job now and I don't want to!

See, I have always wanted friends I could go do things with, that best friend that does everything with you, and none of my friends have anything in common with me, were all completely different people and that fine, but we don't hang out , out of school or have anything to do with each other. So Im still looking for that friend and I guess that I think that after high school, Its over. I wont have that friend. Im a punk girl and their all girly girls, makes since. Not!

I really just don't want to grow up!
My parents get upset with me because of this, but I don't know what to say.

Should I go to college or get a job after high school?

Well you should go to college for something you could earn more money this way but some people who do really good with their hobbies and stuff make good money and don't go to high school btw I thought college was more of a challenge in work but a little more easy in time scechudle because you can pick your classes but if school isn't your thing than so be it

Can you get a good job with a high school diploma?

Well, not really. Most jobs no longer want just a high school diploma and depending on how the job market is in your area, you may have an issue finding a job altogether. My friend had issues finding a job because the job economy sucked here. His mother's friend who is a manager at Pizza Hut told her he wouldn't hire my friend because he had people with bachelor's degrees trying to get a job when my friend had no work experience and no college coursework completed.

You may be able to find a job as a firefighter or police officer, but even then those are becoming more competitive. You can also usually take a few classes to become certified in some form of healthcare, but you probably won't make close to 80,000. It also depends on the area you live in too since 50,000 here is different from 50,000 in Nevada.

Good paying jobs to get fresh out of high school?

Okay so, I'm not close to being in college yet, I'm 15 but I am trying to plan ahead cause I really need to move away when I'm older, its my goal.
I plan to put away some money each paycheck when I get a job, hopefully when i go to live with my aunt in febuary I hope.

But yeah, I plan to moce to south california, hopefully San Fran Bay, share an apartment with a good friend and I pray, have a car.

What are some good jobs I can get in a situation like this?
I plan to work at different places to gain experience and fill up my resume til then.
There's a YouTuber who has a small apartment and works with helping families afford things with a company. (Speaking from my memory..)
Something like that sounds great but yeah.

Suggestiins, ideas?
Obviously I wont have anything specific but ideas.
Thanks.

What job should I get after high school if I don’t go to college?

The correct answer is ‘follow you interest …..’The pragmatic answer is become skilled in one of the trades that automation has limited future impact on and cannot be replaced by cheap off-shore talent.Carpenters: still need then to build and repairElectrician: still need to add sockets or remodel etc.Plumbers: Robot is not going to clear your drain or replace a faucet in the near future.…You get my drift.
