Part time teen job pay?

Depending on your state's minimum wage you should get about $7 an hour. How much you get a week is based on how many hours you work a week. Check with your school for work permits, etc. Its hard to say more without knowing what state you live in.

What are the highest paying teenage jobs?

Most of the high paying work is going to come from selling something, anything.Working in a restaurant could be a good route if you can rack up the tip money. Focus on going door to door selling home products. You will get turned down a lot but if the product is good enough you will get a few yeses.Think about this. What are starting jobs teenagers can get that aren't minimum wage in the US?

Sales positions - where you earn a comission.  Create your own business such as  a gypsy taxi service or a delivery service using your car.  Become a contractor using your carpentry skills for small jobs - household repairs, installing or repairing fences.  Stop thinking about a job for yourself and think about value you can provide for others; if the value is high enough you can make a great deal of money.

How much should I pay a teen to do yard work per hour?

I'd pay him per job. If he does a good job on it, then give him a bit more. For example:
Lawn Mowing: $5-10
Weed Pulling (Hour or two): $7-15

And you can give him a tip at the end. But one of my relatives hired a teenager to do some yardwork, and paid him by the hour. They were not happy with the quality. But when they paid him per job, it was better quality.

High paying teen jobs....

Waitressing can be a very profitable job but it's a difficult job as well, requiring heavy lifting, being on your feet all day, and most importantly, excellent customer service skills.

I was a waitress at Red Lobster many years ago and often could come home on a Friday or Saturday night with well over 100 dollars in tips. However, there were days during the week when I only made 20 dollars or so in tips...and I believe I was only making 2 dollars and some change per hour.

Really, it all depends. Service can be slow, you can get bad tippers, etc. If you want something that is a more steady income, I would look at another job.

By the way, I don't know about in the UK, but here in the states, many high paying employers are not hiring teenagers.

What are some high paying jobs for teens under 18?

I m not talking baby sitting and yard work or pet sitting. My mom is not about to let me do any of that. I wouldn t know how to do it if I tried. Not tutoring or house cleaning. None of that cause my mom has a thing about strangers and all of those include strangers and being in or outside of people s houses I don t know. Minimum wage is too low for a person like me.

What jobs can teens get that pay above minimum wage?

It depends on what that teen may be good at and where they live. Smart teens can tutor. Great athletes might give private lessons to kids(and parents) who love a specific sport. A physically strong teen might get a job landscaping or as a construction laborer. Exceptionally ‘computer talented’ teens may score a job in Silicon Valley as a programmer. Charismatic teens may make a bunch in sales or a job that includes tips. Beautiful teens could be fashion models. Older teens 18+, of course may earn more than younger teens. The majority of young first time job seekers, don’t need a job that pays a ‘living wage’ ( which minimum wage is not). Those who do, may find it hard to find a good paying job, but should still play to their talents as much as the economy allows. One of my daughters (now a 19 yr old college student) is a ‘babysitting rock star’ she’s responsible, kids ( and their parents) love her and she gets a minimum $15-$20 an hour at her jobs- she also picks a lot of wealthy families to babysit for. So you might have to think outside the box a little about what job is going to pay you more. Good luck ! :)

What are the highest paying jobs for teens?

You could start a business - because thats the only real job thats possible at 15 that could give you a decent income.

Good luck =]

How does a teen find a part-time job that pays better than minimum wage?

I can think of a few things:if you have a skill related to technology - look for a small business that could use some help with programming or web design (you do need to have some skill though). You’ll need to reach out the them directly, but it will be well worth it.Tutor - are you good at math, writing, grammar, biology or some other subject? Offer your services as a tutor to high school kids. Doesn’t matter if you’re still in high school yourself, if you are good and have patience, you can make some money.if you have a skill related to manual labor and have equipment you can borrow from your parents, and are not too introverted you can offer your services locally to your neighborhood. This could include lawn mowing, snow shoveling, yard work, pet sitting, house cleaning, being a companion to an elderly person, baby sitting.Making money is all about skill (supply and demand). You need to be able to do something that most people can’t do well (or don’t want to do).
