Jobs In Warrington For A 14 Year Old

Is 28 years old too old to start college?

I went to university at 20ish and failed out — an embarrassing moment in my life for sure. My dad worked super hard to give me just enough money to make tuition. But the University was big, and I barely had an understanding about what a university was. My parents did not go, my grandparents did not go, all of my aunts and uncles did not have degrees. The first week of classes, the train & bus service went on strike. I had to take a rikkety bike down the busy Toronto streets and I literally nearly died. I also got a job at around the same time, and travelling back and forth from uni to work was exhausting.I got caught up in the organization. I could not figure out the registrar’s office, or funding, or bursaries etc. I had a paper due and printing it out in the computer lab had me all confused. My parents convinced me to take courses that were out of my league and by December, my year was a mess. I hid out the rest of the year, telling my parents that I failed my courses. But it was worse than that. I did not fail really — I flaked out.I think my grade averages for the term were 15, 8 , 0, 0 & 0.On the other hand, I knew I was smarter than that. I also had some really clever ideas to study. I went back to part-time school at 27, taking one course to see how it would go. Got an A. Then I took two summer courses. Both A+. Eventually I finished with very good marks and went to grad school to become a librarian. Now I have a PhD in public policy and am doing a post-doc in History with a large amount of complex coding and quantitative analysis.Oh yeah — Thanks to some frugality and the support of friends and family, I finished my degrees with no debt.In short, no. 28 is not too old to start university. If anything, it may be the very best time to start. You’ll be in your early 30s when you finish and ready to make the world your oyster. You can do it!

Will a UK salary package of 45,000 per year be sufficient for raising a family (my wife and 1 year old baby) in London? How much cash will I get on hand? Is 45k per year a good package for a software developer with 6+ years experience?

A2A. There are more answers here than I have time to read, so apologies if I repeat anything already stated. It depends where you live in London. £45,000 works out as ~£2,800 per month after tax. Rent on a two bedroom terraced house or flat should be ~£1,500 per month, and travel to and from work will cost at least £100 per month (zone 1 & 2), but let’s conservatively estimate £200 (it would be a lot more if you intend to have a car, but we’ll leave that aside for now). That leaves ~£1,100 for food, entertainment and savings - ~£270 per week. That should be enough to feed and clothe your family, but you wouldn’t be able to save very much, if anything, for the future, and if you don’t have savings already then you would be in a very precarious position if anything went wrong. So it’s just about sufficient, but perhaps only if you’re lucky.A £45,000 salary is high enough that you would not qualify for any government assistance.I don’t know your industry very well, but £45,000 sounds perhaps a little on the low side to me. Have a look at some job advertisements at the same level (try Monster and see for yourself).

What is Eccles like to live in? PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Got a job in a Manchester hospital as a nurse and I am 23. I am from the south of England originally and was just wondering what Eccles is like to live in or another part of Manchester which is affordable. I love the look of Didsbury but it is expensive and I can't afford it.

I want to live in Manchester because it looks to be fun and lively and I have family in Liverpool and Leeds. People have also said it has a good racial mix and I want to leave London because having lived there all my life, and I am bored and fed up of London life. Whereas I want to live on the outskirts of a city but able to get to the city easily when needed. I am a city girl really but i want to come home to something quiet, but knowing i live near a big well known city makes me feel a bit safer.

ANY WAYS....

I want an area with:
1) A small town or village feel
2) Has good links into the city centre preferably piccadily station so I can visit other cities (Leeds and Liverpool)
3) Local shops such as a mini supermarket, post office, restaurants and/or takeaways (Chinese, Indian, Chippy etc) and train/tram station, buses to the city.
4) Good racial mix as being from London I am used to that and I am mixed race Caribbean/ English.( this is important!)

I know it is a lot to ask but surely there is an area with at least two of the things I have asked for.

If not can you suggest an area that is in between Leeds and Manchester or Liverpool and Manchester ( not Warrington no disrespect intended)

Thanks everyone in advance x
