What are some jobs that pay at least $2,000 per month with a high school education. ?

Some ideas may be office work at any local offices or firms. Jobs like tax officers, accounting, and secratarys may earn that much, depending on experience. Try calling or sending your resumes into the firms and offices. and some require some education. If you are able, try taking courses in accounting. Its helpful and usually gets you the job!

My friend is a janitor! he earns a lot more than 2000 a month. The jobs may be dirty and hard, but its really worth the pay. The only problem is that he works at night! any time after the office closes. Some nights he gets over $100 for around 2 hrs work. He and his wife makes more than 30k a year, about 2500 a month. There are a lot of these jobs and my friend goes and ask any offices, vets offices!

Jobs for a 17 year old who can't count money?

What is the salary for a part time job in Germany?

When I came to Germany, I found a part time job in the second month itself.I worked as a bar tender/waitress. When I went for the interview, the owner could not speak English. We somehow managed. As I had no previous experience in that work and I could not speak German well, I could not ask for reasonable salary.I worked for €6.But I learnt a big deal. I could speak more comfortably and became aware of behaving in German culture.I left the job in a month and joined a newly opened Indian Restaurant. He said I have experience in drinks but not food. And I was still not able to speak German.I again worked for €6.I had issues with manager and could not work for long. Left the job very soon and joined Maritim Hotel.Maritim paid me €9.They didn’t need German. As the work didn’t require speaking at all. I felt I am not learning because I was not speaking at all. The main purpose of working part time, for me, was to learn language. As I was not attending any language school due to lack of money.I left the job and joined a coffee cake Restaurant. This time I found myself very confident and comfortable in understanding what customers were saying. I was making short conversations too. I knew everything about Germans ways of eating out and drinking. I was considered to be experienced. She paid me €10.But she spoke English and I hardly used to get chance to talk to customers and practice German.I left for a better learning opportunity elsewhere.Thereafter, I went to McDonald’s and for the very first time I managed an interview in German very well. The manager didn’t speak English at all. No body at McDonald’s speaks English. They pay €8.9.Currently I work by McDonald’s. I am still new here and learning. As the manager put me on front counter, I am practicing full time with native speakers. While conversing with co-workers, I learn more as they teach me too.Its been eight months since I came to Germany, and most of my time I spent in looking for part time jobs. I am yet to find a job which pays €12.All in all, I think by working part time one can make from €500 to €1500 per month.Edit: Having worked for more than five years in India, I came to Germany on student Visa to study MBA at International University Bad Honnef (IUBH).

Is teaching a bad career choice...Really?

I have been thinking about becoming a teacher for awhile now. I have enrolled in the alternative certification program in Texas. I have substitute taught in all grade levels (K-12) and know I want to teach grades 4-8. I am currently an Academic Advisor and make VERY little money (low 20s). I love the work, but have no advancement opportunities without getting a masters degree. So, I am working on getting into teaching - because teachers in Texas make decent money (low 40s) and I loved substitute teaching!
Noone is supportive of my decision! Every single teacher-friend I have says "Don't do it - it isn't worth it." Yes, my job now has a very low stress level - often causing boredom sometimes - and I know teaching will cause stress - but I am not afraid of that! The idea of making a DIFFERENCE in someone's life is amazing!!!
So, I guess my "question" is - are there any teachers out there that LOVE what they do - and would recommend I pursue this path?

I am sitting jobless not getting calls for job interviews. It has been more than 2 years and I am losing hope now. What should I do?

Looks like you've got the classic starting trouble. If you are jobless, then there is something wrong going on. Either the way you search for job is not right. Or, your resume does not impress employers. There could be many reasons for the present "No-Interview-Calls" situation of yours. As another quoran pointed out, move yourself out. First thing to do is - get a job (no matter what that is). It puts you on two things - First, you learn a new thing whether you like it or not. Second, it gives you a hidden psychological confidence. Every job offers you countless opportunities.Example - Learn and Create OpportunityYou said you are a B.Tech. Dont mind your graduation for some time.  Let's say you take up a job at the local Domino's outlet just for fun and some experience. Then you will be1. Getting a salary which will boost up your morale.2. You will learn how the outlet thingy works.3. You will get to interact with customers (People) and gather a lot of knowledge.4. You will learn new stuff (how pizzas are made, how the machinaries work, the problems that occur daily, how such an outlet is managed etc)The OpportunityNow a smart person may take this as an opportunity to learn and earn. Let's say you work there for a year (counter sales, kitchen guy, manager or even a delivery boy) and gather enough experiences. After a year you have two ways to go further:1. Update your Resume and add your TOTAL EXPERIENCE. Search for jobs.OR2. Start your own business. Find a potential investor in your circles, who is ready to invest in opening a Pizza outlet. Talk to Jubilant Food Works on getting a Dominos Franchise in a un-represented area. Or, talk to other food chains who are looking out for franchisees.  If you can successfully strike a deal along with your investor and the food chain, you can open your business and take it forward.ConclusionI am not saying Dominos is the way to go. But this example should give you the idea of how to make an opportunity for yourself. I know that studing B.Tech and starting a pizza outlet might be totally un-related. But hell, at the end of day it is all about the money and happiness you get out of your job.

What jobs can you get with no high school diploma?

I don't have a high school diploma and have made a good living all my life. I worked as a Union Truck driver for about twelve years making up to 60,000 dollars a year, I worked on Oil Rigs for another 12 to fifteen years and made up to 60000 to 70000 a year ending this field as a Tool Pusher over the entire rig crew and responsible for it's day to day operation, I was an Automobile salesman for several years making up to 45,000 per year and was promoted to Sales Manager and made over 100,000 at this job. The high school diploma is something you should strive to get if it is at all possible as it shows you have to ability to stay at something until you see it through. I hired a lot of people who didn't have a diploma and they were better workers and caught on faster than people who had college degrees. Try to stick it out and finish school but if you cant make it through just be sure you always strive to get to the top in whatever career you choose.
