Why would UPS send a package to the post office to deliver?
Both UPS and FedEx rely on the postal office for the back-end of their cheaper two- to seven-day delivery options, Smartpost for FedEx and Surepost for UPS. Amazon also uses the USPS and enlisted it for Sunday deliveries. The post office's Parcel Select service, launched in its current format in 2008, allows the companies to transport the packages the long distance themselves, then sort by ZIP Code and deliver to the local post office. The letter carrier takes it for the most expensive last leg of the delivery
I just got a 2nd job at fedex for packge handler. Has anyone done this before and lose weight?? If so how much?
My sister has the same job with UPS. She is really short, only 4'11" and she was far from heavy when she got the job. However, she has dropped about 30 lbs and looks really "cut" now. She has great arm and leg definition. It's a tough job physically but the payoff to your physique could be great!
How can I/should I mail Pizza through through UPS or FedEx?
I hope this is an option, what you oughtta do is remove the slices from the pizza box, place each slice in a zip lock and then place them in a bubbly free package bag that we supply and then put it in an 8x8x8 box that we sell for about four bucks. a good idea could be to get a box cutter and cut out the logo of the pizza box and place it in or on the box. You could put restaurant napkins there too, for proof. If you place dry ice or ice packs we will charge you more due to special handling which costs a shiny dime. Strongly tape that box, it goes through about five sets of hands, literally. (agent, handler, handler, handler, courier) and then when it gets to your buddies place he could crisp them up in oven or toaster oven, We offer three overnight services, and they are; first overnight which means by 8am, priority overnight which means by 1030am, and standard overnight which means in the afternoon. So, you choose! Whenever you think is best! if you send them in a pizza box it will be squashed; we handle millions of packages a day! Drop it off at a station not kinkos, at about 6pm; the latest, so you order it at about fivish or so. BTW, I work for fedex express, I hope your friend enjoys those slices! We handle food every once in a while; like steak and donuts. very tempting, jk
What is UPS Unload Scan? what does this mean? will i get my Package Today?
upload means it arrived at the area/city it says and was unloaded by package handlers. if its a small package, that would sent to small sort, scan it and send it in a bag so its not damaged, then back to loading... if its big, it will just be sorted straight to loading and then be scanned saying in transit or delivering. i worked at UPS for 2 yrs... it goes through alot, but you probably wont get it til tomorrow or the next :D
