Why, and if so to what extent, is the USA partly responsible and accountable for ISIS being formed?
The chain of events go:1. US invades Iraq2. Mission Accomplished banner gets hung on the USS Abraham Lincoln3. Iraqi Sunni and Shia start massacring one another.4. Overheard on the USS Abraham Lincoln, "Somebody please take down that god damn banner."5. Militants finally find long term parking and get into the fight.6. Al Quada in Iraq is born. 7. US fights bloody war with both imported militants and Shia militias.8. Mission Accomplished 2: The Sequel9. Some guy in Tunisia forgets that you have to wait a half hour after swimming in gasoline before lighting a match.10. Arab Spring sweeps across the Middle East11. Syrians finally realize it's spring. 12. Bashar al-Assad says no Arab Spring break this year, college Syrians go wild, civil war breaks out.12. Sick of not killing anyone in a while Al Quada in Iraq finds their ticket stubs and get their cars out of long term parking.13. Al Quada in Iraq joins the civil war in Syria. 14. After realizing their name doesn't make much sense anymore, they rebrand under the letters ISIL/ISIS (depending on who you ask) and promptly get to work on a flag15. Militants from far and wide like their new flag and pro-beheading policy so they join ISIL/ISIS (depending on who you ask).16. Syrian civil war gets boring so ISIL/ISIS (depending on who you ask) decide to head back to Iraq to visit old friends and conquer new countries.17. Iraq is very, very, very easy to conquer so, hey, why not?18. Crucifixion, beheading, and slavery make a comeback in a big way. Black is the new black.19. US bans all future use of the words Mission Accomplished on banners.
